Compression spring not for a Toro Trimmer 51481 spooler cap.
Spring is robust but not for a Toro Trimmer model 51481. Too bad and disappointed with all the time to articulate and source.

Fits older Toro trimmers
Sometimes the simplest part of a tool is the most vital. While struggling with the line tangling and breaking on my Toro trimmer, I had to take the cover off and pull out more line multiple times. At one point, the spring that controls the bump-feed popped off into deep weeds and I couldn't find it. No place locally had one that fit. I started to think I'd have to buy a new trimmer. But I found the right spring on Amazon, along with the right replacement spool and got the old Toro working again and saved it from the scrap heap. Recycle, reuse, reward!

Just the right part
I tried other springs I had laying around. The string line top would pop off or the string was to hard to get out. Now it works at it should. Fits Toro Model: 51332.

Right Strength to get tap feed working
A lot better than replacing the whole device. Possible easy fix when the tap feed is not working.
