Nice dark black color
Decent quality for the price, but has a tendency to skip if you write too fast. Nice dark black color. I have not noticed a problem with smearing.

Perfect replacement --But-
Had an usual thing happen. The cap was left off the pen and the tip touched some fabric. The pen emptied -leaving a huge puddle of ink. Never experienced such a thing before.
