These black door knobs were such an easy way to update the look of our home! The matte black finish looks modern and high-end, and they instantly made our doors look more updated and cohesive. They were straightforward to install and fit perfectly, with a nice solid feel when opening and closing the doors. I also love that the black finish doesn’t show fingerprints nearly as much as I expected. For the price, I’m really impressed with the quality and appearance. They look much more expensive than they are and gave our home a simple but noticeable upgrade. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to modernize your doors without spending a fortune!

I purchased entry door handles to upgrade from traditional knob styles. I love the modern sleek look & functionality. It is sturdy & seems well made. Unfortunately after installation I got locked out (my fault 🤦‍♀️ I forgot to put the new key on my key ring) I had to call a MASTER locksmith & was told "this is a very good lock" it was not easy getting me back into my home. 😉 I felt good about that. I am very pleased with my purchase & the price. Rekeying was also easy for the installer. I would recommend this product to others.👍🏽

The instructions are the top of the box with a QR code. I have several of this same model with locking and no locking but this is my first with a key lock. Installs in less than 5 minutes with no trouble for an interior door in my house. Heavy duty feeling handles and a modern sleek design. I am very pleased. I do hope they come out with a smart version in the future with the lever handle as I would like to be able to remote lock in the future.

What’s Great: Installation is very straightforward, just a screwdriver and a few minutes, even if you’re not handy. The reversible handle design for left or right swing doors is a thoughtful touch. SmartKey Security is a real advantage. Being able to re-key the lock yourself in under a minute without calling a locksmith saves money and hassle, and it provides flexibility if you ever misplace a key. The Microban protection is a nice bonus, especially for high-touch areas. It keeps the handle surface cleaner over time without any maintenance required. Feels durable, it’s a good weight and fits standard doors perfectly. Where It Falls Short: The lever action is slightly less smooth than some premium models, not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. It still functions pretty well. The finish, while attractive, can show fingerprints more easily than expected. It’s Grade 3 certified, which is fine for normal residential use, but not top-level security (Grade 1 is the highest). Bottom Line: A dependable, easy-to-install lock with good security features and smart convenience. Great for homeowners wanting solid reliability without breaking the bank. Verdict: A trustworthy choice for everyday home security, excellent value for the price.

Good Quality, easy install for replacement in my case. Everything included, nice finish, not sure of durability at this point. They do upgrade the look because of the contrast of the black finish; in my case on painted white panel doors.

This is a really nice locking door handle. I appreciate the smooth finish, and it was relatively easy to install, as someone who has never installed a door handle before. There aren't any instructions on how to install the door handle, but there are instructions on how to change the keys. The only tricky bit was the screw that holds the inside handle to the turning mechanism. You're not supposed to take out the screw on the turning mechanism at all. You might need to tighten or loosen it so the handle goes on, but that's it. Once you put the handle on, use the skinny hex screwdriver to screw into the handle. You need to screw it counter-clockwise when you're facing the handle/top of the screw. This is apparently so obvious that very few of the video tutorials explained it. Once you understand it, it takes ~15 seconds to do. The weekend before we left on vacation for 3 weeks, our door handle fell off in the hand of our new cat sitter. She had the key to the top lock, but would not have any key to the doorknob lock. I was extremely pleasantly surprised that I could set the handle lock to use the same key as the deadbolt! The instructions were clear and it took me ~ 5 minutes to do since I was taking my time and double-checking everything.

Kwikset™️ is not on the top of my list as far as quality is concerned anyway but suffice it to say that this experience didn't help me change my mind. I ordered this for my garage door because I tend to haul a lot of stuff into or out of my house through the garage. My hands are often full and I want a latch rather than a knob. Here's the reasons for this terrible review. First, there were no installation instructions, which, for such a simple product, I didn't think that was very important but In retrospect, should have indicated a problem. There is a set screw to keep the interior latch in place and the unit I received actually used a left-handed thread to keep it in place. If there were instructions, explaining this, it might have helped to prevent me from writing such a negative review. Secondly, the hole that the set screw was inserted into for packaging is fine, but the interior handle's hole wasn't even bored out large enough to accommodate the set screw. I received this in a manner that caused me to believe that it was repackaged and sold to me as new, although it had been a return from a previous order. When I called to complain about the condition of my order, meaning that I believe it was a returned product sold to me as new, I was offered a discount because I explained that I could probably fix the issue. Subsequently, I have discovered that not only was the threading backward, but the hole in the handle and the threads, which it mates to, were misaligned. Even when it's installed halfway, you can see that it is not square or true. I should have known better than to order another product manufactured by Kwikset™️ When I called to complain about this item, and its condition, I voiced my complaint that I believed it was being sold under fraudulent circumstances. The gentleman who assisted me explained that these products are sold worldwide, and sometimes the threading may be different, but he was more than willing to offer me a discount as long as I could remedy the situation. It should be noted, that I was being stubborn and unwilling to go out of my way to return this item since it was sold used rather than in new condition. I recognize the conundrum which I placed the Amazon associate into. Also, I said I could probably fix it prior to discovering that there was yet, another manufacturing defect with the item. I will ultimately eat the cost of this mistake. However, here is my suggested remedy for anyone who is experiencing such a dilemma. Tell Amazon that because the item was defective yet purchased as new, that they are more than welcome to send a driver to come and pick up the defective item because it's not your fault that you received such a product. My mistake was that I thought it would be an easy fix and because it was going to leave a gaping hole in my garage door in these winter months, I wanted to attempt to repair the problem rather than to go through the aforementioned steps. Since I altered the condition of the received product, I am sort of out of luck. The next time I find myself in a situation where time and conditions are critical, I will go to my local big box. I would like to point out that the Amazon associate did everything within his power to remedy this situation and that I made a miscalculation, despite having such horrible experiences with Kwikset™️ products. The takeaway that I hope you receive, is to avoid Kwikset™️ entirely.
