Janeway's Immunobiology Tenth Edition

Janeway’s is one of the best immunology textbooks to use for learning immunology. If you are at the upper undergraduate/ graduate level, this textbook is comprehensive and easy to read! I do want to note, while there are differences, the textbook is very similar to the 9th edition. I personally prefer the 9th edition and find it to be of higher quality in spacing, and grammar. Broadly, I have noticed that there are some significant differences in Chapter’s 6, 8, and 9. Chapter 7 has changes in the figure legends and headings within figure images. Overall I think it’s a great book! If required for your classes, it is worth the purchase! I also find the online content to be very helpful! If you are interested in learning immunology independently, purchase the 9th edition at the more affordable price :)

This is an excellent text book, readable, through. Using it for a Master’s class.

This is a great summation of the immune system, presented in the context first of its natural function against infection, next in its aberrant activation in disease and finally how it can be leveraged and modulated to improve disease.

Love how the symbols are consistent in the figures throughout the book.

This is a substandard version of the book. The formatting errors are numerous and glaring. For example, apostrophes are represented by “’” throughout. All appear to be corrected on the Norton website. It is unclear whether Amazon will ever address this issue. Perhaps the substandard format is a quid pro quo for the low Amazon price?
