Used this underground for my workshop wireless access point
I used this direct burial CAT5e cable to run about 120 feet from my house to my workshop so I could add a wireless access point, and it worked perfectly. The cable feels durable and well made, and I had no concerns burying it in the trench. It was also easy to terminate with RJ45 connectors, and I had no issues getting reliable connections on either end. After installation, the network has been fast and stable, and everything has worked exactly as expected. If you're looking for a quality direct burial Ethernet cable for an outdoor project, this one is a solid choice.

Nice wire for running outside
Ordered this wire because I needed to run a line from my house to shed in the rear of my property to support network cameras. This wire came and I was able to install it with ease. I was quite shocked at how thick of insulation it has. It almost looks like a cable wire. It has an outer jacket which feels very durable and will be able to withstand the elements. The wire length ran was 200 feet based on the markings on the cable. The first black layer of insulation can easily be removed using a coax stripper. I was able to terminate jacks on the ends without issue. Now I did NOT bury my wire because it was such a long run. I figured I can always just re run it if needed. It's stapled to my fence and hidden out of sight and sunlight. I would not say I was rough with installing it however I also was not gentle either. After I terminated the lines I checked my connection using my laptop. I was able to get 1Gbps out of that 200 foot run! Now I am not using this line for POE, since its CCA I just needed to get a data line out, the sheds already have power.

It works as advertised. Extra Sheathing is pretty thick.
It's hard to love Ethernet cable so only 4 stars. It does what it is advertised to do. I am the average Joe who was tired of streaming over the wifi so ran ethernet for blazing fast speeds, secure network, and high reliability. I was originally going to run on outside of house but went through the walls and under house instead for a cleaner setup. Data speeds are as expected. Feels very durable. As other posted noted this is the same as other cable with the extra sheathing for exterior rating. I am sure this will do fine if it was buried as long as no critters get to it. I only needed a couple of hundred feet but the last 300 are free compared to other products and who knows what gadgets will use ethernet in the future. Maybe I will trade some of it for a six pack and help out a neighbor. Unfortunately it will probably be an alarm system. Wifi is too easy to hack so ethernet is the way to go.

Quality cable
Used to run service to a workout room just outside wifi range. Great quality and seems as durable as any cable I've seen. It has been installed a few months now with no issues.

Order the amount you need
Cable came in and we installed it. Problem arose when the connectors were installed we discovered one of the green conductors was broken in the cable. Luckily we only needed 6 cables to get the system on line so we were able to do so. Now we donโt have a spare pair of conductors if something should happen to any of the others.

Seems like decent cable
I just got around yesterday (1/27/23) to finally run the line, It spooled out easy for the 200 foot run I needed to get internet inside my wife's and I hangout. I haven't had the chance to put the connectors I also bought with a crimp tool to try the run out but I am about to go do it. Will give an update when I get the chance to test it out. edit. I have had the internet working great in my wife's and I hangout. No issues at all so far two weeks in.

The quality of the product is excellent, but packaged by idiots...
I probably would not buy this product again just because they P#@#d me off by tying the cord INSIDE the sealed and taped box. When one goes to a job site to do wiring for a customer, a TAPE GUN is not typically brought along. The box arrived with the coax poking out thru the delivery hole, and was taped to the plastic retainer so it wouldn't go back in the box. Great. Easy.. WRONG.. I pulled on the wire a little and it seemed jammed or kinked. So pushed in a little bit and tugged again.. No go. I pulled harder and the plastic delivery tube broke. So I had to undo all the tape that sealed the box and open it up to see what was wrong... THE IDIOTS TIED A KNOT IN THE END OF THE WIRE AROUND THE TUBE>> WTF!!!!!???? So I cut off the knotted section and tossed it, pushed the wire thru the now broken delivery tube, only to find that without a tape gun to seal the box tight, it just kinks up, kind of defeating the purpose of paying extra to get a boxed coil instead of loose. So I took it out and just had wire laying everywhere... shame.. Great Product, horrible customer experience = I won't use this product again. I should have to buy a tape gun and carry it with me to a job site, and have it exposed to high temps in our workvans sitting in the sun... Not worth the hassle. The kicker? I thew 300 feet of it away because of the kinks as I was trying to pull it thru the plastic conduit because it didn't unroll like it should have...

Great price, strong layered material, no brainer.
Cable was able to be pulled out nicely. I ran approximately 300 or 400 feet from my living room, through the floor, along the ceiling of the basement, out of the building, then buried line and ran it into my shop.

Great cable, more impressed than expected
Used this to run a cable from our router at the front of the house, around the house and into a detached garage... quite a long run and silly me didn't test the cable before running it however there were no issues, it seems durable and should last well outside. a bit stiffer than non-shielded cable but has to be expected. overall great value and does the job well. we have fibre to the property and the speeds on this run are as good as being plugged in next to the router!

Works great!
I ran 2 lines, both underground, from my house to my garage. Bought a new wifi repeater and set it up, have blazing fast internet now for looking up car parts! I was told by a friend to get the "direct burial" line because it's made with a thicker casing. This stuff is super durable and well worth the money, I even have extra left over so if I ever need to run more underground, I know what I'll be using!
