Massive Storage That Just Works – A No-Nonsense Backup Solution

After using the Seagate Expansion 6TB Desktop Drive for well over a year, it’s become a core part of my home office setup. If you're looking for a large, reliable external drive without the bells and whistles, this one gets the job done.Setup is as simple as it gets—plug it into the power source and connect it via USB 3.0, and it's ready to go. There’s no complicated software to install or setup wizards to fight with. I've used it primarily for backups, media libraries, and some game storage, and it handles all of it with ease. Transfer speeds are respectable for an HDD; I average around 120–150 MB/s, which is more than enough for moving big video files or system images.The build is sturdy enough for a desktop drive. It’s not meant to be portable, and at over a kilogram in weight, it should stay on a desk. That said, the textured casing resists fingerprints and looks clean, even after long-term use. Just be aware that it does require external power, which adds one more plug to your setup.The real selling point is reliability. Over a year in, with regular use, I haven’t run into a single issue—no disconnections, no overheating, no corrupted files. Seagate also includes a 3-year Rescue Data Recovery plan, which is reassuring even though I haven’t needed it.If you're a creative professional, media hoarder, or just want peace of mind with your backups, the Seagate Expansion 6TB is a solid, no-fuss option. It's not flashy, it's not fast like an SSD—but it works every single time, and that's exactly what I wanted.

Great for backup storage

Great for backup storage.Speed as usual as HDD over USB 3.0It makes weird noises when placed in a wrong orientation, which possibly might damage it internally.

The Baddie Daddy of HDD!

This is one of the best deals I have got on Amazon. I was looking for a reliable storage option to pair with my Mac Mini M1 setup and I come across the 8TB version of Seagate Expansion. I have used 4TB Expansion HUB before and felt confident to go for 8TB.I am impressed with read-write speed and the design of the Hard drive. Being a videographer and photographer I needed a solution to save large size files for hundreads of projects.I have tried video editing with files being present of HDD and Premiere Pro just works fine. I have connected the HDD to USB-C port which will make your workflow lag free for 1080p and 4k 30fps timeline.I got this HDD for 14K INR.(In Box items - HDD, Power Adapter, USB Cable)

For MEGA-Capacity

Great PRODUCT. A MUST Have for ALL.TIP: Buy from 'Appario Retail Private Ltd' they ask for a reasonable price.4 TB ('terabyte in decimal' NOT 'tebibyte in Binary') in Decimal Bit-unit so about 3,720 GB('gibibyte in Binary' NOT 'gigabyte in decimal') in Binary Bits.Difference:1 TB(terabyte) = 1000 GB(gigabyte) {in decimal}1 TB(tebibyte) = 1024 GB(gibibyte) {in Binary}Therefore,1 TB(terabyte in decimal) = 931 GB(gibibyte in Binary) approx.That's why when we buy microSD Card it shows less in mobile device than what was branded for.Manufacturers use/brand in 'decimal' where as we all know digital computers are 'binary' at their core.[This may me confusing cause mostly we say "tebibyte as terabyte" & "gibibyte as gigabyte"]{Linked Website for better understanding- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte}
