I'd say they run a little bigger than the standard skull cap. Most skull caps are 8" and these are 9".

Q: can you wear this under a bike helmet?

I have bought 3 so far and I don't think you would have a problem wearing it under a helmet. The material is not to thick but more tightly woven I guess you could say.
