NaturVet Hip & Joint Daily Maintenance Supplement, Dogs & Cats, 120ct

We have a 15 year old Border Collie, and last year we were certain she didn't have much time left. She couldn't make it up and down stairs, she seemed depressed, no bouncing or playing, and worst of all she couldn't herd our cats anymore. We tried several vitamins, hip and joint supplements, and some showed some improvement. Then we got these. 1) She loves the taste. It's been well over 6 months and she still looks forward to them, 2) She can run and jump, play, herd the cats, she still doesn't like stairs - but she can go up and down them, 3) They are actually soft (many "soft chews" are like last years Double Bubble gum) these are so soft they will break if you pinch them. There is no denying that she is getting older, but we no longer worry that she won't be there when we get home. We give her 4 every morning. I only have one complaint: with the softness of the chews they crumble in the bag. We have bought some at Petco and they seem to hold up better. When we get down to crumbs we give her 2 chews and 2 teaspoons of the crumbs on her regular food. Not a huge deal, but I would prefer it if they were just slightly more solid and didn't break apart quite so easily.

We have a pitbull that my wife found in the middle of a busy street that was skin and bones and knocking on death's door. After bringing her to the vet, we assumed we were going to provide some sort of hospice care and she would not be around long. The doctor thought she was around 14, but I think she is more like 12 when we got her. 3 years later, she is going strong and seems to be getting younger every day!! I joke with my wife and say she's like Benjamin Button :). My wife swears by these things, and seeing Millie (that's her name because we found her on Mills Avenue) jump and run around like a puppy, it's clear they really do work. We give her 3 a day and that definitely works for her.

These treat supplements are great for any aging dog. My pup is 6 and a half years old and was starting to have trouble keeping up with our 1 year old pup. A a week or so after starting a regimen of one treat daily and he is back to his young zesty self. These were reccomended by a associate at a pet store because of the type of food we want him on (Iams) and his age. This listing is a few bucks cheaper and a great value.

It works but you have to double up or triple up on the amounts you give your dog. Per my vet,MSM is the key componet(in large amounts)to helping a dog with his joints,not the other ingredients. So I give my 11 year old,22 lb dog 3 of them in am and then 3 more and pm. MSM=140 mg per chew. He perked right up and leaps down the stairs to the landing now. No stomach upsets. My vet says at least 800 mgs of MSM a day. So far so good. I like these soft chews cause the price is good since I have to triple up on them. I also like them cause my dog gobbles them up. No paws(pause). I recommend them. I also recommend getting dog off food with grain in it. My dog has been losing his excess fat fast since I switched him to Natural Balance Alpha dry food and LTD wet dog food. The lighter or in shape your dog is-the better it is on the joints-especially if the the dog is older. Just my opinion.

They seem to be helping my 14 year old Maltipoo. And she’s rather finicky but seems to like the flavor.

Our cat loves these, but I break them into fourths so they're easier for her to eat. She seems to be able to move better since taking them.

I wanted to love this product based on bag size & price, but… . My two older cats completely rejected this bag of chews and walked away on the first pass. I tried dicing them (they are about the diameter of an American quarter or 2€ coin) and mixed the pieces into a bag of their regular treats. I hoped this would mask the smell or taste for them, but NOPE. The cats were eating the pile of their normal treats and left the diced pieces of the supplement chews. We gave it a week for this and then dumped the mix bag into their regular food. And… they’re still leaving the pieces of this chew in the bowl. Maybe your dog will love it? I am so perplexed by the absolute NO from both cats.

My 11-year-old dog’s mobility has increased noticeably since we switched to this product. And the flavor must be superb since she reminds me to give them to her after meals!

These seem to work very well,reasonably priced,and very easy to put in the dogs dinner,I didn't have to hide them,he eat them as part of his meal

My 15 year old cat seemed like she might die...started giving her these and she is back to her old self again.

My cat will not eat these unfortunately, and then pooped on the floor as retaliation lol. I tried to even crush them up and mix them into her food and she just refuses to eat

Pets like it. Smells awful. Sadly boyfriend has to give it to the as it has shellfish and im allergic to it. Not sure yet how much it is helping the dogs movement.
