Ariat Men's DuraRoper Boot

Runs a little big, at least for my build anyway. Normally wear a 2x, ordered this in XL because FR gear tends to run big. The XL was still a little big, I’m 6’2” and 250. One wash took care of it and it’s warm, durable and comfortable. I normally don’t care for big coats because of the bulk they add and will usually just wear a jacket. This coat is great and doesn’t really add a lot of bulk. As far as price, I’m not sure it’s worth $300 but it is FR gear and it is Ariat so I expected it to be pricey before I even started looking.

You really have to see this coat, or at least know what you are getting yourself into with this workhorse. The cotton is a heavy #12 duck cloth style coat with thick insulated lining. The inside of the coat is a zag stitched liner that is advertised as waterproof and fireproof resistant with a CAT 4 rating and is certified to NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards. The interior reminds me of a furniture blanket that movers use to protect your precious chest of drawers!One would think that this coat might be too snug with such construction but there is enough room to drive a truck through it. Not a light coat by any stretch of the imagination. The XXL weighs in at about 6 pounds. That is a lot of coat.I've been wearing this coat for 2 months and it's still not broken in. It is pretty stiff but completely comfortable. This may actually be too much coat for some people; especially if you like light warmth. I would think of it as more of a wind cutter than winter coat. Warm but not like ski wear (not intended to be). It does have a two way zipper which is a feature every serious coat should have.The best feature is the velcro outside the flap and zipper. Running to the truck and all I have to do is press the coat together. Use the zipper for really brutal weather.The pockets are deep enough to put a small dog into them. Most Ariat's have concealed carry pockets in them. This jacket has a from check pocket that is huge, big enough for most needs.I gave good closeups of the construction, zipper and features.This is a great coat that should last many years. Glad I bought it.

I purchased this now, while it was still in stock so I haven’t worn it yet therefore I cannot speak to how warm it is. It is however, insulated and it has a little weight to it and the outside shell has that windbreaker/ waterproof feel to it so I have no doubt that it will be nice and cozy this winter. Now then, and this is with absolute certainty, they do run big in size. I typically wear an XL but after reading the reviews that stated how big it was, I went ahead and ordered a size down and went with the large. Sooo glad I did! It fits perfect and looks great. No inside pocket though. Definitely worth the money.

Great jacket for work. The fit is a little large as I ordered a 3X and maybe should have ordered a 2X but now I have a lot of room for layering clothing. Hopefully not growing room. It is a very sturdy jacket. It is a very warm jacket it kept me comfortable in -20 degree Fahrenheit temps. I love the cell phone pocket on the chest. The zippers on the jacket are heavy duty.

the XL Tall was way too big, reordered a L regular and it was perfect! He loved it! Took a little while to finally ship, in my opinion, even with paying for Prime, but it finally came and fits just right. Thank you!

It's rugged and tough! Fits a bit long!

XLT is a big coat! I'm 6'4 and it's perfect length wise.
