Impress your Orthodontist by actually knowing the name of this tool! Be ready for that nasty wire that pokes your kid in the mouth - only on Friday-Sunday - never when the office is open! You'll never have to use those pliers from the garage again! LOL You actually need the Tungsten edge to properly cut the wire. This tool has already saved us two trips to the Orthodontist and a lot of pain over weekends. You might consider a cheek retractor to make it easier to see what you're doing. Great purchase - well made tool.

These cutters clip the wires very well. My only complaint is that the head was a little wider than I was expecting, so I had difficult clipping my own wire in the back of my mouth without having an assistant hold a mirror and a flashlight for me - even then I was afraid of pinching my cheeks. Despite the one complaint, this product is a good value and I do recommend it.

This was one of the best purchases I've ever made! No more waiting before getting pain relief for my sons when the wires from their braces need trimmed between appointments. This product is easy to use and SAFE! I even took it to our orthodontist who supported my purchase and said it was the exact thing I should be using! It doesn't get any better than that! It works and it's easy! No parent of a child in braces should be without one!

They do not work. They do not cut through the wire no matter how hard I squeeze. Total waste of money.

The product does what it claims to do. But usually you are trying to cut wire back in the mouth, not easy to access. It is best to practice on a wire in a similar direction before your first use. The product appears to be high quality, though I doubt it is a German product. Or it is just part of product name?

My daughter keeps getting excess wire sticking out of her braces a few wks after having them adjusted. It is very inconvenient to take off work and school to have the wire clipped. This is the tool they use and it takes a second to do. It holds the wire in the pliers. Just grab the wire a light snip and all done. This is a life saver!!!!

Used once, and it worked! But not that easy to use it.
