Concealment Express Holster Claw Kit (IWB/Tuckable)

Used with my Gen 1 Bravo Concealment Holster with TLR-1HL on G19 and a Vortex Red dot. What a major difference. I was living in the stone age before not having a claw. Hole spacing was perfect, and the hardware it came with was great. I did have to use the backer nuts that I already had with the Bravo Concealment holster. Construction is beefy and well thought out. Value is great ($15 at time of this review). Places the grip much closer to my body, can easily hide the full frame in my waistline. I'm 5'10 and 160 lbs. Size M T-shirt for reference. If you still haven't, get a claw for your IWB holster. It will change your life.

This little gadget makes a huge difference in the way you carry your firearm. When you use the appendix carry position it pushes the belt out and hides the firearm so well that printing is completely gone. I really like it and wish they could make it for 6 o’clock position carry. I hate the appendix carry while driving because of the seatbelt interference. I prefer 6 o’clock carry while driving and appendix when out of the car. It definitely is a useful gadget! I have it on all my holsters and will not carry without it.

The claw fits the Concealment Express holster perfectly. It’s nice it comes with two risers for the claw; I used the lower riding riser, as the higher riding riser made my belt stick out too much (I’m a shorter man, w/30” waist). Instructions on YT made installing easy, but I could’ve figured it out without the video. Appears to be solid, but I’ll leave my judgment for a later date. As others indicated, it does work by pushing the grip of the pistol into the body. As for comfort, I think it’s as comfortable as an IWB carry rig can be - should be secure, not necessarily “comfortable”. The holster is a good value, but would like to have the claw included for the price of the holster.

I’ll start out by saying that I’ve got a “We the people” holster…so I wasn’t fully counting on this piece working out, but I knew from the reviews on the one that WTP (we the people) makes that I wasn’t wasting my money on theirs…I thought that the material of construction on this one looked like it was of much higher quality…with all that said I was able to get it to fit with what I would consider minor modifications…first off I removed the retention screw that came with the WTP holster…I used the bottom hole on the claw to go through the existing retention screw hole already on the WTP holster…one of the long screws that came with the claw was the same thread to thread into the existing retention nut that was on the WTP holster…only problem was that it was about a 1/4” too long…so I took a side grinder with a sanding pad and just pushed down on it until I got it to the right length…when you do that you need to make sure that you round off your edges where you’ve flattened the screw…then you just tighten the claw into the existing retention screw hole on your WTP holster…once you’ve got that tight/adjusted to your desired retention level…adjust the claw until it looks square…drill a hole through your holster…I used a 1/4” stainless bolt…stacked washers in the middle where the gap is that your retention screw adjust…then put a lock nut on the other side…and voila…and I’ll also add that this made a huge difference for me with printing…I don’t feel nearly as concerned about someone noticing I’m carrying now and it didn’t effect the comfort level in any way. Great product.
