Tea Filter Infuser

The small size basket is perfect for the small tea cup or narrow vessel. It fits easily inside the small opening of the teapot.

I use my infuser in a tea pot 2x/day. I love it, because the basket is a perfect size and it is easy to clean.

Having gone on the search for a good loose-leaf tea filter, I thought this one would be a fantastic choice. It was, for the first few months of use, exactly what I was hoping for, allowing my tea--even the tiny bits of rooibos--to be steeped to a delicious brew. After daily use, however, even with lots of cleaning, I found that the superfine mesh started to get clogged. I scrubbed it with steel wool to try to keep it clear, but I found that I would have to slowly pour my hot water over the leaves, wait for it to percolate through the clogged mesh, and then continue filling my cup. Even the mesh started getting out of shape (probably from my scrubbing).I think this is an ideal filter if you make the occasional cup of loose-leaf tea. If you're looking for a daily buddy, however, there are sturdier and less finicky ones out there.

This filter is easy to clean, fits most mugs, and makes a fabulous tasting cup of tea--no loose leaves floating in your cup!

It was purchased to replace one that was lost.
