I’ve been giving my child BioGaia Kids Probiotic for a few months now, and I’ve noticed a big difference in their overall digestive health. Before we started using this, my child was having frequent tummy troubles, but since incorporating BioGaia into their daily routine, those issues have drastically reduced. One thing I love is that it’s easy to give—just a few drops, and it doesn’t have any weird taste, so my kid doesn’t mind taking it. It’s also gentle on the stomach and hasn’t caused any side effects. I’ve also noticed that it has helped boost their immune system, as they seem to be catching fewer colds and feeling healthier overall. Knowing that it’s backed by science and has safe, proven ingredients makes me feel confident in giving it to my child. My kids LOVE these and ask for them daily. They are a tad on the pricey side but amazing for your kids gut. So we will keep buying.

I bought this in 10/2025. My son has had issues with constipation and tummy aches. I give it to him as needed. It works wonders and is gentle on the tummy.

My grand daughter who is 3 1/2 has always had rock hard BM's maybe every 4 days. I dreaded it for her as watching the pain she endured was heart breaking. Frequently, I'd resort to the glycerin suppository as she just couldn't get it out. I even had removed dairy and gluten with a little improvement but not normal by any means. I watched Dr. Davis' YouTube videos on l-reuteri bacterias being very helpful for digestion along with helping sleep, etc. I bought this product and she likes the taste and they are sweetened with xylitol which I don't mind as I'm not a lover of sugar in her diet. Be careful though that your dog doesn't get the pill with the xylitol (deadly for dogs). Her BM's are normal now. Not runny, not hard. I really love this stuff for her. It is supposed to help with oxytocin release and help with good moods in humans. I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or she feels better now that she can "go" easily but she's been the sweetest little pleasure and I'm so thankful. Give it a week to see a big difference. Great product!

After taking this regularly for just 3 days I can say that I am regular. I eat less at meals and feel fuller faster. I can't say that another probiotic wouldn't do the same but all the studies done on probiotic tend to focus on the species that is only found now in this product. The less than 5 stars is the price. While the tablet is easy to chew, tastes like a lemon sweettart, and easy to take at once a day, the heft price tag even at $54 for a 3 month supply doesakee wonder if it is really doing more than a less expensive brand but with out the probiotic that has been studied. So you take the good and the bad and decide for yourself if the cost is worth it. I would defiantly recommend if you are on the femce, buying a 30 day supply and seeing how you do. I did that and liked the results so I went for a 3 month supply the second time.

**Update: 2.5 years later, still on Protectis. Still the holy grail of probiotics. We've avoided flu outbreaks, taken colds down to minor 24 hour bugs, avoided a stomach bug that was so widespread and awful that it CLOSED DOWN HER SMALL PRIVATE SCHOOL. When she does get sick, I double up the probiotics and she bounces back. I recommend this to EVERYONE with small kids, especially if they are in daycare, pre-k, or young school age settings. Kids are gross, but Protectis has helped my kid become this master of gut health and immunity. As is common with small kiddos, my 4 year old gets a stomach bug 1-2x per year. Being phobic of vomit, I dread them! She has been on Protectis for about 6 months. Recently, a horrific stomach bug swept her pre-k classroom. When we heard of it, we doubled her probiotics and crossed our fingers. After a classmate got sick ON her, we knew she wouldn't avoid it completely--but she managed to escape with just 2 incidents of the pukies spread over a 36-hour period. No diarrhea, no persistent 3-4 day vomit like her classmates. She was fine in 48 hours and I credit Protectis for this. Her dad and I started taking them after her first throw up, and we avoided the illness completely. She's also had fewer respiratory illnesses since starting them. This stuff is the holy grail.

Since I've purchased these and given them to my 2 year old son, his eczema is nearly non-existent. He was starting to break out pretty bad, all the usual suspects (e.g., cheeks, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, backs of his legs). He was on RX eczema meds, which would reduce it but not without side effects: lightening of his skin and increased hair growth wherever the topical was applied. I also used Aquaphor in conjunction, which would minimize. Together, they helped but not enough that he still didn't itch constantly and where it was not noticeable. Probably after a week of using probiotics (I cut the topical from the side effects: He also complained that it burned his skin), his eczema was almost completely gone. After a month of everyday use, it's like it was never an issue. His skin is soft again, no rough patches. He never itches and his skin appears healthy and hydrated. We've stopped using Aquaphor as well and so it appears that the probiotics seems to be the sole reason for his recovery. Plus, my son loves taking his morning "vitamin." His older sis gets her own vitamin and this is his special treat. He likes the taste: a chewable lemony tablet that tastes like a sweet and sour candy. Definitely recommend for parents who are struggling with their children's eczema. At least, give it a go.

Used these to make Dr. Davis Lreuteri yogurt. Turned out perfectly. Having to crush them isn't a big deal or much of an inconvenience considering the health value. They're also a lot cheaper then many of the other ones that are sold.

My son takes these every day. This strain is supposedly good for autism. Anyway, they’re good for regularity. When we traveled recently and didn’t bring them, he got upset with me because his “happy tummy pills” were at home, so his “tummy wasn’t happy.”
