This is a well-made quality product which works. Read the directions, watch a few videos on YouTube, and practice your technique. Work slowly to start and build your muscle memory before trying to speed up your work.

This is the first wet stone which I have personally owned, which I got as a gift (thank you amazon lists), I have used wet stones before so didn’t totally have a use for the angle guide which does seem pretty okay. But it’s only a crutch until you’ve (sorry for the pun) honed your skills. Used it today on my knives and scissors and it brought them to as new sharpness. Due to the grits I was able to take out a severely damaged pair of scissors to as new condition in very little time. When this stone gets to an unusable condition (which will be a while) I will be buying another one.

These stones work well, and are a great value at this price. It is relatively easy to sharpen just about any knife with this kit. Overall a great kit for the money.
