This hydrometer is the best I've found so far. If only we could rate partial stars, then I'd give the hydrometer a 5 on it's own, and 4.75 for the complete srt as it is. The set comes with a fabric thing, but I use the plastic protective case the hydrometer was shipped in. It slides together securely and should hold up well. The markings are in a sharp and easy to read font. The color coded sections have proven to be as useful as I'd hoped. My brother borrowed this and he really liked that it shows the range you should be in at the start, and the range you should be in at completion for both beer and wine. The plastic 'test jar' stands up steadily and is wide enough to fill easily (a five gallon batch might be too unwieldy, but we just pour straight from our one gallon carboys with no mess). The test jar isn't crystal clear; seeing the water line is no problem, but reading the hydrometer through it is a little difficult (impossible if there's even a little foam). That's the only reason I didn't rate the set 5 stars.

Easy to read, simple instructions, wish I had bought one earlier the value is there when you want to know the abv and can’t.

Good product but they specifically advertised an online subscription that never came. Contacted them and was given some guidance that ended up not working either. I purchased this product thinking this would be a great deal with this subscription included, but if I knew this was not guaranteed then I may have purchased a different one.

Product is deceptive. It’s not the brand( brewers Elite) shown in the picture. No hard case as mentioned. Felt cheated.

El hidrómetro está excelente y llegó sin problema alguno. No estoy conforme con el tubo de ensayo que viene acompañándolo, ya que lo anuncian como transparente y realmente no lo es. Es de un plástico semi-transparente un tanto blanquisco que dificulta mucho la lectura correcta del hidrómetro y por lo tanto no es del todo adecuado. Le hubiera dado 5 estrellas si este detalle no estuviera mal y efectivamente viniera el tubo de ensayo completamente transparente como está anunciado.

Es un producto muy bueno para principiantes, son materiales duraderos y vienen instrucciones que te explican relativamente bien como usarlo. Lo recomiendo para los principiantes
