Hubner Original Silica Gel 17 fl.oz

I started taking this 5 weeks ago, hoping for some relief from the hairloss I've been experiencing for years now. I had terrible stomach problems (which still exist but are no where near as bad) and that combined with having two children has resulted in a rather pathetic head of hair. My sisters are hairy AF so I'm pretty sure this is nutritional and not genetic. I waited to write a review because I find that is the only way to write an actually useful review, and I know a lot of us read the reviews for insight on which products are actually useful or junk. I had been interested in silica as a supplement for quite a while but had been hesitant to take it because of the cost. I know I could take diatomaceous earth for the silica but I worry about the sourcing and the company being reputable etc. I have stomach problems, I have to be careful, lol. Anyhow, I first tried a horsetail silica supplement, and this did absolutely nothing for me. Since some people seem to be obsessed with colloidal supplements I decided to give this a shot. My skin was the first thing that showed an improvement - it seemed soft yet durable, and stayed moisturized and plump without me having to do anything. Then my acne diminished. Within two weeks I noticed thicker eyebrows. I thought maybe it was in my head but the next time I saw my sister she asked about them. Next my eyelashes started getting thicker. My new lashes keep poking the opposite lid and I couldn't be happier. As for my actual hair itself, I am not sure I can say I am seeing a difference yet. My hair never breaks and I never have split ends, but I do shed a ton in the shower. This seemed to slow around the 3 week mark, but I do still shed more than I would like. However, I have been taking this only 5 weeks and I am hopeful that eventually my hair will thicken up so I can look at least like a normal person, lol My mother has also been taking this, for only 3 weeks. She has (genetically I assume, as her mother was the same) very thin fine hair. Since she dyes her hair, her roots are very obvious, and the greys coming in are insanely smooth and beautiful. It seriously looks silver instead of grey, if that makes sense and she loves it! UPDATE 1/5/18 Somewhere along the line since the summer, when I started taking this, my hair stopped falling out, a multitude of baby hairs are an inch long, and my hair might be growing faster, but its hard to tell. I did straighten my curly/wavy hair the other day and was surprised, and I have NEVER been pleasantly surprised by my hair. This is one of the few supplements I've ever taken that did what it was supposed to, leading me to believe I am not just experiencing some placebo effect. Also, for reference, I'm 31, my diet includes plenty of protein, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, I exercise and drink a lot of water. I ought to be reallllyy healthy for all the stuff I do and I finally feel and look truly good. I can't say it's all because of silica, lots of factors you can't control contribute to health, but I do think it helped a lot.

I have been using this for about 6 weeks now. The first thing I noticed is that the arthritis pain in my right knee is sharply reduced. For that alone I will continue to take this My hair seems thicker and I have noticed new peach fuzz in my widows peak areas,. in other regions the new growth seems thicker. My finger nails were always thick, but recently (I am 62) have been getting more and more brittle and that has gone away. Also I am more regular. I notice no taste but it does have a gritty mouth feel, I just slurp it down it really is not a big deal for me. I just finish it with my morning coffee right after. Additional edit Now after about six months of use my arthritic is so much better, the only time it hurts now is during a rapid temp change. EDIT I have been using this for about three months now ans it has done wonders for my skin. As a side note, I do not know if is related or not, but I have noticed I seem to have more energy.through the day. That may be not having to deal with my knee pain, but in any event it is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

I am usually sceptical about the "success" one can expect with natural remedies and supplements, but also reluctant to turn to traditional medicine for the usual pill(s) to fix common ailments. The main reason why I purchased Hübner Silica gel was to (hopefully) relieve my increasingly painful morning stiffness and "start-up" problems with my joints. Lower back, hips, knees, even toes, all had resisted my past attempts at improving mobility. Here's what I tried so far: collagen hydrolysate, horsetail, nettle, devil's claw, alcaline foods, calcium, magnesium, vitamin D3, hardly any meat, greatly reduced intake of cheese and other dairy products. While all these efforts are good and valid, the effect on my joint pain was minimal at best. Of course I also exercise, walk, swim, ride the bicycle - still no major improvement. I was almost ready to just accept the fact that I am getting "old", and this is what it feels like. Then I read about the benefits colloidal silica, and decided to just give it a try. Just two days into the "experiment" my joint pain is noticeably reduced! Not gone, but a lot easier to bear. I am thrilled! From what I read I am also expecting to see other benefits for hair, skin, and nails - time will tell, and I'll keep you updated here. As for what others said about the "taste" or "texture" of this gel - I don't have a problem taking it straight, right off the spoon. It has no taste at all, and the texture is "funny" (sandy, or chalky describes it best) but not really a big deal. After one month of taking Hübner Silica Gel: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's my first update - in short: this stuff really works! I noticed improvements all over my body. Morning stiffness and joint discomfort are greatly reduced, some days they're almost gone. My thinning eyebrows have started to fill in, especially on the outer ends. Receeding gums around the upper molars are starting to grow back, the gaps between enamel and gums are smaller. Nails are growing faster. Cellulite on my thighs is visibly improved. I will definitely keep eating my daily spoonful of this!

The Hubner Silica Gel doesn’t have much of a taste, which is good, but the texture, while very tolerable, is somewhat unpleasant. I purchased this product to see if it would help with my hair loss and also with my dry/dull skin. I first started using it in July 2016, and used it until the last week of August, but then I went on a 40-day trip and forgot to take the product with me. Upon my return home, in the beginning of October, I restarted taking the Silica Gel. So far, after one month that I restarted taking the gel, I can’t see a lot of difference, but I can’t discount the fact that I haven’t continually taken the gel since I first purchased it in July. Despite the interruption, I do believe my hair loss has diminished a little. I’ll keep taking the gel and, in case of a significant change, or no change at all, is noticed after more time taking it, I’ll update the review.

I started using this to help with my hair falling everywhere and a lot when showering. I know people it has worked well for so I'm giving it a shot. I'll be tracking my progress with this supplement. Started April 7th 2015 DOSAGE: once a day in the morning when I wake as directed. I mix it with chocolate milk or juice to mask slightly chalky texture (has no distinct taste) Stir well and drink every drop. Today is May 12th 2015 and marks just over a month of usage. I've been advised by users to use for at least 3 months to see proper results. OBSERVATIONS: so far less hair seems to come out in shower- but I'm giving it another month and will come back then to update you. Today is june 17, 2015 so it's been just over 2 months and I'm on my third bottle. For the second month I'll admit i missed a few days here and there maybe about 4 total but spaced out through the weeks. I've noticed when in the shower shampooing, I'm not losing as much as before. It is considerable less BUT I do noticed a lot more comes out if I use conditioner (weird? Anyone else noticed more hair coming out while conditioning?) In general I think we're supposed to shed about 100 strands a day or something like that. I don't notice as much hair on the bed anymore so that's good news. As for my skin and nails, I honestly don't see any difference at the moment. So I'll continue to monitor my progress and let u know. July 7, 2015 So it does work, I don't shed nearly as much hair as before. I'm impressed, I'm glad I continued for 3 months and will continue to use it. Also as for the conditioning issue I mentioned, where lots would come out, this has improved. I was surprised the few times I conditioned and only a few stands came out. My entire family has used this product for 25 years, and we are aging pretty well. Silica gel is good for skin, hair, and all the connective tissues of the body. We swallow a soup spoons worth and wash it down with water. It is tasteless. I've also used it topically, mostly for inflammations like bug bites. Once when my son had a terrible sunburn, I mixed the silica gel, aloe vera gel, and a little water, and spread it all over his shoulders and back. It slowly dried and a couple of hours later I reapplied it, and when that dried he went to bed with a t shirt covering it, and the burning sensation was subsiding. The next morning, we were amazed at how much better it was. He healed quickly without blistering. Highly recommend!

Brought out of curiosity. . I began drinking but it is definitely a thick substance. I can't say if it works or not, because I didn't take it for long. But I do notice a difference in my hair and nails that my nails are stronger and longer and my has grown somewhat and appears to be stronger in texture. Won't say not to buy. You got to get past the thickness of this drink!

I purchased this because I read the reviews about how it can help your hair and skin. So far, it's been difficult to tell but I think my skin really does look better. I am needing to be more consistent with taking it every day! I bought a bottle and took it for a month, then ran out and didn't start taking it again for a while so I will update this review as soon as I am able to take it for consecutive months. The gel itself is easy to mix with water, it does give a bit of a texture to the water but it is not bad, there is no taste really. I am open to anything that will help my hair become healthier and grow quicker. I'm giving it five stars because, so far I think it has helped, but time will tell!

I love this stuff, it makes an excellent light makeup base especially if you have oily skin and I also see some improvement in my skin when I take a tablespoon everyday as a supplement, if only it were a little less expensive!

Everything it claims to do is exactly what i notice, my hair is coming up , my nails are growing and friends are complimenting me for my skin. I love it especially that i have to drink it without difficultly because it has no odour. I thank you for such a wonderful product!
