How often do you have to replace the blade?

In my experience it really depends upon how often you use it and what materials you're cutting. I've had some last much longer than others, simply because I was using it more and/or cutting thicker materials.

When you need to replace the blade, do you have to purchase a another plastic housing unit or is there a metal blade replacement/refill?

The blade and blade housing all one complete unit. When the blade gets dull, you replace the entire thing.

All questions and customer reviews look to be a year old. Has the quality issue been corrected?

I have Never had an issue with quality

The Silhouette site says that this blade's max depth is 1mm, not 2mm. Is this listing simply wrong or is the Silhouette site wrong?

I checked the packaging, and it doesn't tell anywhere (even the small print). Everything I've read has said it will cut up to 1mm and the Deep Cut Blade will cut up to 2mm (even here on Amazon).
