Exactly as expected! I use this as a long cord for a work light in the garage and it functions perfect. It has a great length so I can move all around the car.

Excellent quality, but the wires are permanently attached to the switch. So, when it was being installed we had to cut out the switch part, and replace it with another switch that could be wired in through the top of the hanging fixture. Which is if course the point, that it will be installed in a fixture without replacing the unit you just brought with yet more new parts. Good length solid wire, and on switch.

Who wants a " bright " idea? A simple hack? Ok, but 1st allow me to gush a bit about this great cord.. I've been needing to replace a cord at my bedside for a while now and I'm really pleased with this purchase. As soon as I opened the package and felt it, that alone, I could tell it was quality. I really appreciate the extra hardware( hooks & wire wraps)included. I am already eyeing another spot that needs light... Ok. Hack time.. As I knew I didnt want a bare bulb look for this cord and location, I decided to use my noggin to see what I could rig. I took an old, cheaply bought from a 2nd hand store, clip on lampshade. Before I get into it, just know you can use whatever you want . It doesnt take much money to pull this together. I manually bent the inside clips of the shade upwards and slightly off to the side. I then slighty crimped the circular clips so as to not be so big. I then slid this up and over the socket end of this cord, added a globe bulb, and walla. You now have a lampshade that stays put. The reason you crimp those clips on the shade is because the shade otherwise would slip down onto the bulb, not sit steady, or fall off all together. Good, right? ( imho) I know I like it. In conclusion: I am glad I picked this cord also for its ability to use up to a 100 watt bulb. It has plenty of length from floor to ceiling( 15 ft) with great flexibility in the cord ( not stiff and doesnt needi to be molded to lay flat ) and a nice add on of hardware. Buy this cord.
