is this product cruelty free?

Hempz products are NEVER tested on animals and contain no animal byproducts like some other brands do.

Did they change something in this lotion? It smells awful now!

No changes were made to this lotion. Hempz lotions have a unique smell, triple moisture is actually my personal favorite. I'm sorry you do not like the scent.

Seriously, I just used this at kids sister’s house and must have it/ but what about the pump??? Recent reviews repeatedly warn of pump malfunction.

It is actually the thickness of the lotion that is the issue. I put on a pump from another lotion that I used to use. That particular lotion I used for a few years prior to using the one never having a pump fail. That pump failed before the bottle was empty on the hemp lotion. Two issues it is so thick the pump looses lotion to pump up, the viscosity of the lotion doesn't fill the gap where the lotion was pumped out. The second issue is the pump just fails. I love the lotion so after the pump fails I use a different cap then just squeeze the lotion or shake it out. Not ideal but love the lotion.

Mine smells like bubblegum is it the original one? Does it still work even if it's the knock off? (Want to give this to another person)

It does smell like a bubblegum :( I wish I have read this questions/answers before since the site description portrays the product as "so very natural", one would assume the scent would go along with this description. It does not! It's AWFULLY STRONG ARTIFICIAL BUBBLEGUM SMELL!! Please, if someone likes such aromas, take it from me! (the item is not returnable :( I'm so disappointed!
