Do you have to sign that they will own your dna and genetic information forever? Do they share that info with 3rd parties?

Ancestry.com & 23 & Me can sell your DNA to 3rd parties (although your name is not attached to your DNA...."anonymous") BUT Family Tree DNA makes a PROMISE to NEVER sell or share it even anonymously. When you die & if you have not given a family member your kit # & password to log into your account (I'm giving it to my 3 sisters) or if you do not have a "beneficiary" with a GOOD contact email & phone # then they will "own" your DNA at that point at least for 25 years after you submitted your DNA but I don't know if they can still keep your RAW DATA & what they do with it then...maybe research of some kind with geneaology stuff like surnames? I think after a person dies ....ALL the companies have rights of some kind to your DNA or data or both?

Does this kit include a copy of the raw data code?

Partially, if you are a male unless you pay to get the upgrade for the Y-DNA tests they ignore doing anything with the Y chromosome information.

Does this include both the testing kit and lab work.....all in one price?

yes, this includes both the test kit and lab work for the standard test.

The "Family Matching. Enhanced Results" picture shows names of relatives. Would other possible relatives be able to get my name?

It DEPENDS on how you set your privacy settings. You can select PRIVATE, immediate & close relatives or distant relatives or ALL relatives. So like another person said you can also just use initials instead of your full name if you want too.

This is just the starter

If you are interested in your dna, This test is just a starter. Make sure to do the mtdna and y dna tests as well, minimum. This will get you better info. Not just finding out you have a long lost cousin. This test is by itself not enough In full disclosure I have taken my own advice and paid family tree for the other two tests

Einfuhrzoll für deutsche Kunden

Es war alles korrekt. Aber das plötzlich noch ein Einfuhrzoll von über zehn Euro zu zahlen war, ist zumindest für deutsche Kunden sehr verwunderlich.
