I need to have a friend put this n their luggage on a plane. Can you tell me how much space this will take, maybe how large the shipping package is?

I don't think it would take much space at all! It is completely soft so you could just roll it up to put in a suitcase. I honestly don't remember how big the box was it came in but it is very soft. I just rode in mine on Sunday :) My guess is that it would be about the size of 3 hoodies folded up in a suitcase. Hope that helps!
