What do they peel in Sweden? Herring? Meatballs?

I have no idea, but I'll keep my eyes peeled...

Where is this peeler made?

I'm sure the real product is made in Sweden. I carelessly ended up ordering it via Amazon Prime from seller "GeouFfkuhbk" (seller info: "GeouFfkuhbk storefront / Just launched / No feedback yet"). The item received has no brand or origin markings, was in a generic plastic bag, and says on the bag's label "Made in China". It fell apart on first use; the blade detached from the metal swivel shaft. It's going back, will try to reorder from a seller with good feedback to get a genuine Linden peeler.

Do you use this by peeling away from yourself? I have one that looks just like this, but (I'm a righty) you have to peel towards yourself! No good!

I bought this because it is ideal for peeling small things, like small potatoes, or an apple. I find its size so helpful - you can hold the object with your thumb and peel towards your body using your remaining fingers. That's the way my mother taught me and for me it's still the most efficient way to peel. I bought a super sharp peeler that you pull and found it too heavy and cumbersome. And useless for anything small. Also the wide blade crosswise to the handle was just super inconvenient. Maybe I'm getting old, but I had a hard time making it connect and then pulling.

Many peelers take too deep of a peel off the potato or carrot, wasting vitamins. How does this one perform in that regard?

This peeler is VERY sharp. And that's a good thing. But if you are too aggressive it can take off a deep peel. So take a breath and don't attack that cucumber, just use less pressure. Your veggie will thank you, and so will your arm.

Its a game changer

I have about 4 peelers from various companies (over the years). Every time I would have to peel apples or potatoes I would end up trying each of them and they all are annoying. After making my last batch of mashed potatoes, I said enough is enough, I need to find the perfect peeler. I just wanted an old school peeler that swivelled properly but not too much. This one is "the bomb"! It is like the old school peeler, super sharp and way more comfortable to hold. This peeler makes easy work of peeling. Love it! All my other peelers are going to Goodwill. I will probably buy a second one so I can have second hands helping in the kitchen.

Comfortable to hold and sharp

Linden Sweden improved their classic all-stainless steel model with the soft grip handle. It peels very well and I find that the blade stays sharp for at least two years if used daily.
