Aquila Red Series AQ-89 Baritone Ukulele Strings - Low D - 1 Set of 4

Loving these strings! I’d had some different strings on my baritone, but they just never settled and the all nylgut ones I’d had previously just lacked some depth. These are so far gorgeous and rich and make the baritone almost a totally different instrument. These will be my new standards for that uke going forward. They sound great strumming chords as well as finger picking. Took a couple of days to stretch and keep their tune, but that’s to be expected. Installation was easy as I got some bridge beads, which will be my approach going forward as well. My bari was sub $100, but these make it sound like a million bucks.

great bright sound. nylon takes a while to break in but functions well. after a few months of use, barely needs to be tuned. intonation is quality. highly recommend for the price

My Baritone Ukulele was purchased new in 1962 from a music store. Except for the year I spent in Viet Van, it was played almost every day. About 20 years ago I put it on the shelf and stopped playing it. A couple of weeks ago I decided to restring it and play it. My son is a professional musician as an Electric Bass player but he also plays guitar, banjo, and Ukulele. I asked him what strings he recommended and he said the Aquila Red Series strings. So I bought them and restrung my Uke. At first I was disappointed as the took 3 days for them to stay in tune. I am sure one of the reasons was the neck had not been under tension for years so it too a while for it to settle down. That being said, the strings now stay in tune and the sound is fantastic! Now I just need to get my finger tips toughened. I highly recommend these strings.

These were the strings that I had installed after the stock strings on my baritone ukulele snapped. I decided to use a different brand when it came time to change the strings again. That was a big mistake. These were ordered in a hurry since I really liked the sound it produces for me.

Made my uke sing

When I put these strings on my baritone uke I immediately liked their sound. After playing 4 or 5 songs I set my instrument down for a little while to allow for stretching. However, while not even close to it, a half hour later the G string snapped. Never again. I only gave 5 stars so you would read this.

They sound great (the strings I have left). They look cool on my mahogany fret. They’re weak in the sense that half did not reach their correct tuning, while I strung them correctly and patiently,

2 white, 2 red strings. Two were questionably wavy, almost bent. I thought they would all be red… because y’know, the name of these strings. The white ones are wound. They’ll do alright for their affordable price, but I feel like it was false advertising… unless my package had the incorrect product.

These are good. Uke sounds way better with these strings. Not too hard on the fingers. Good sustain and resonance.

Strings are very low in quality and doesn't sound authentic

Si vous cherchez des tonalités plus "chaudes" et plus "rondes", n'hésitez pas à prendre ces cordes ! Vous perdrez un peu en projection sonore, mais ça vaut clairement le coup.
