Raindrip R675CT Analog 3-Dial Water, Sprinkler Timer with Rain Delay for Drip Irrigation, Garden, Self-Watering

For the money this is a great value. Its simple and just works. It can't do varying schedules, but does great to water for X number minutes, every Y time interval. The on demand water for several minutes and the rain delay for a specific time works great without messing up the regular schedule. The metal casting attaching to the hose bib is a bit rough, so use plenty of sealing tape and plumbing dope. This is my third purchase in 5 years.

Great sprinkler/hose timer for the price. VERY easy to program and install, but limited in flexibility. Impacts water pressure and, therefore, coverage area and number of sprinklers you can use at once. Programming -- One dial turns for MANUAL START minutes or RAIN DELAY hours. Second dial turns to set NUMBER of CYCLES within a 24 hour period -- NO CLOCK -- so your 24 hour period begins whenever you turn this dial. If that's at 2:22 pm and you've chosen 2 cycles every 24 hours, you'll get watering at 2:22 am and 2:22 pm. The third dial turns to set NUMBER of MINUTES each cycle will run. Installation -- Slide 2 AA batteries into the tray, screw the unit onto your hose bibb, set a dial or two, turn on the water, and you're done. I appreciated that there was no spray or leaking at the attachment points. The Manual Start feature can be used during installation to test sprinkler reach and coverage area. BE AWARE that this unit reduced water pressure noticeably. I recommend installing it BEFORE placing and adjusting sprinklers. If you do this afterwards as I did, you may need to start sprinkler set up over due to reduced water pressure and its impact. With our faucet on full blast, there was only enough pressure to run two pulsating sprinkler heads. Distance was reduced by 2-3 feet and rotation speed went down as well compared to performance before the RainDrip timer was installed. This was the case even though we regularly run 4-6 rotator/spray heads per zone with our irrigation system. I'd buy this again if I only needed a sprinkler or two.

works great! Battery life is very good so far - but I'd still use it if the battery life wasn't as good. I have 2.

I bought the timer May 26, 2015, and worked very well until the middle of 2018, when spring arrived (South America) and with that the the necesity for watering, also started the problems, so I did what I relate in the letter that I sent to RAINDRIP which I copy below Ill start with my wife comments: "Your raindrip timer has been very useful for me as I grow orchids - it made a great difference for my plants- but lately it hasn't been working well" The problem started some time ago, and as I am an Electric and Electronics technician, I opened it an found 3 motives for the problems 1) the manual control selector had deteriorated the contact surface on the printed circuit board (a profound scratch line marked the surface where the sliding contact had passed), possibly because the sliding contact wasn't well polished or had some kind of defect. That would be a MANUFACTURING DEFECT that limited useful life, the other 2 controls denoted use but weren't deteriorated 2) The battery compartment isn't completely WATERPROOF and there was some humidity inside 3) Finally batteries aren't perfect and sometime they leak and damaged the battery contacts and a little part of the printed circuit board I polished the circuit board under the sliding contact of the manual contact, cleaned the battery contacts and the printed circuit board and made it work for some weeks, but now it doesn't work anymore As I live in Argentina its very difficult for me to find a replacement, I usually get things when I travel to USA or ask friends that are going to bring them for me, I asked a friend that's in NY now, but he is unable to guarantee reception if I buy a new one, so I'm asking you if you can send me a free replacement circuit board or sell me one and how much would it cost to send it to Argentina AS a RESULT of THIS they SENT me a NEW TIMER which was much more that I was asking for

Bought first one in 2022 and it's still working great, I've tried others and even takin all the precautions during the winters (we live in Michigan) only this Raindrop has made it. Just bought another and I'll be ordering a third shortly. Easy to use and durable...strongly recommend.

Unit started leaking perfusely at 14 months. Of course, 2 months outside of the 12 month warranty. I can't see myself buying a new one every year, so now searching for a more reliable, longer lasting timer.

I bought three of these, two for watering my plants that are in pots automatically and one to give my rabbit fresh water daily

This product is simple to use, just set the frequency, the amount of “on” time. You can also turn it on manually for testing. Thing to know is the time you make adjustments is the time the timer turns on!
