Thick metal which makes them very sturdy. The screw holes are tapered so they the supplied fluted screws sit flush with the bracket.

These are great brackets, they look great and are versatile. They make my shelves look more professional.

Holding up my 14in kitchen shelves perfectly. It does have a set screw to go into the shelf. I was worried the shelf would slide off the bracket till I seen the set screw.

They look like good quality and firm. I haven't use it yet.

Replaced my pantry shelves and wanted something without an angled support (removed bypass inset closet door, adding exterior bypass barn door). These things are thick and very sturdy! Those are 12" composite shelves (top one cut down to 9", just flipped the bracket around). I did NOT use the hardware that came with them, the quality of the screws looked ok but they were not the right size for my application. I luckily had well-placed studs so did not need anchors. I did set the brackets first rather than attaching them to the shelves then putting the whole thing up, which made leveling the brackets a little harder but when I did one shelf with brackets first, it didn't go up as cleanly against the wall as I'd have liked. These are strong--I have no qualms about loading them up with pantry items and canned goods.

I used these to support another shelf I bought that wasn't handling weight well, and these are super heavy duty, works fantastic. Glad I bought these as a just-in-case senario, because I needed them. One downside is that 1 or 2 of them were not set at a 90 degree angle, and because they are so thick and heavy, it's almost impossible to bend. I ended up drilling these ones last on another project, so that the weight of heavy object would help push it down. It's so strong that it's pushing up on it, and that's fine with me. I know the shelf isn't gonna come down.

These are simply great shelf brackets. Simple design, and they look very clean & minimal with a modern design. Easy to install and very solid & strong. I’ve bought them more than once for hanging shelves in my house! Great value as well.

We had to put shims between the bracket and shelf to level the shelf. The brackets themselves are sturdy but not bent properly during manufacturing. Unfortunately we already had the brackets installed before putting the shelf on and realizing the problem...I would have returned them if we had noticed beforehand but the shims seem to work ok now.

These worked well for my project. I could paint on it and its very sturdy.

These are great quality and beautiful brackets. But the 12 inch bracket is slightly too long for a 12 inch shelf.
