Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, works with Mac and PC

I do no streaming or any real audio/video related work at all. I'm a software developer.I had previously programmed my 4 keyboard macro keys to the 4 most often used apps. This saved me lots of time as I could hit a key without looking instead of having to ALT-TAB through all my open windows as I was accustomed to. But I wanted more time saving keys.While I do need to look to see what key to push as it's not part of the keyboard, there are many more options available. On the top row, I have 'page selectors' that let me pick sets of keys to display. I have a personal page, a work page, and a page for my development tools.The buttons have an industrial feel to them. Not soft, but not too hard. Each button is a video display allowing for images, icons, text, whatever you want.The software used for configuration was easy to understand in about 15 minutes of playing around. The only thing I found that could be improved was the inability to move button configurations from one page to the next. It would be very helpful to be able to remove a configuration from one page and move it to a different page with one action.I believe there are a maximum of 10 pages that you can configure. However, it also supports 'folders' where one button can open up folder containing a whole new button configuration.I thought about getting the 6 button version, but I figured once I started playing around, I'd want more buttons. I was right.

Having so many shortcuts at your fingertips is an incredible advantage. The software offers extensive customization options, enabling you to map virtually any action to a button on any page. Even when the streamdeck is powered off (without data transmission), it can display any background you desire, which is a cool feature because it indicates that the device is functioning properly. The display is bright enough, and the buttons are satisfying to press. While it’s an expensive purchase, it’s worth it in my opinion.

I mainly use this with Soundpad to easily play sounds through my microphone.I had the previous generation and it's okay. This mk2 is just better than the previous gen and also just overall more support with plugins.Need to have the software to make changes and stuff which works. At least it is a functional software.The build quality is okay and it was kind of questionable on the design but it works. Brightness is decent which can be modified... nothing new there. At a glance when you first open the package, you'll be like .. how do I attach this USB-C to the stream deck? It was the weirdest thing because it looks like one unit. It's just the stream deck on a stand which can be detached.Everyone has different use cases. This product is far more superior with streaming capibilities and plugin support like Soundpad.Between this and Loupdeck, I find elgato stream deck better value for your money.

A very convenient tool to have. The compatibility across different apps is incredible. Able to monitor my pc's performance or able to start up apps or mute my mic. Got this one in white so I could pass my black one down to my husband, so he absolutely loves his "new" stream deck too. Able to adjust brightness to your liking and the buttons are very soft and quiet

SOO COOL. This has to be the fanciest thing I've ever bought. Matches my white setup perfectly, can't wait to customize the button icons :) <3

First of all, I've been putting off getting a stream deck for a while. I'm glad I did because when I saw this Atomic Purple I knew I had to get it! The color is perfection, so nostalgic without looking cheap.Getting it set up on my PC was so easy. Just download the program for it, plug it in and you're good to go! The only issue I had (seen in the first picture) is how difficult it was for me to plug the cable into the device itself. There's not much space inside to get your fingers in, and maneuvering the cord to get it in the right place took some patience for sure. Not everyone will have such a hard time, I've recently been having issues with my hands and fingers. I have lower dexterity in my fingers occasionally, and today was one of those days where I just couldn't do things like normal. Imagine someone with arthritis or limited mobility trying to put this together. I managed after about 5 minutes of struggling, but my issues are minor compared to others out there. Not very accessible in my opinion, which is a shame..Additionally, I saw a few reviews stating the box was opened or they clearly received a returned item. The seals on my box were definitely broken, but the box was so hard to open, I don't think mine was a return. The seal just looked like something wrong with how it was attached maybe? Everything was in order inside once I did get it open, and there was no evidence of it being opened or used previously.Overall, I'm happy I waited literally years to jump on one of these. This purple is incredible and the device is fairly easy to use and set up. I'm excited to use it to it's full potential!
