Lessons from everyday life
The writer has a very keen eye on looking at the regular things & draw life lessons from them. It was a very enjoyable read & enriching too. Some of the stories were quite relatable with my own experiences. Recommended for those who would like to have a share of rich experiences of the writer. Also for those who would like to learn on keeping your eyes & ears open to the life lessons which are happening around in our everyday lives.

How Come No One Told Me That? Life Lessons That Work Now!:
'Every morning in a little town, a man in a yellow shirt and a red hat would come to a busy traffic junction. Just before 9 'o' clock, he would wave his hat around wildly. After 10 minutes of frantic waving, he would disappear. One day, a policeman went to him and asked: 'What are you doing here?'I am keeping the giraffes away!' said the man.'But there aren't any giraffes here'. said the cop.'See, I am doing such a good job'We perhaps do it most often as leaders. We want to be in control and also want to show it. We imagine everything is happening only because of the actions we took and that we are in complete control! And like the man in the yellow shirt - we keep showing that we are chasing the giraffes that were never there!Just one of many stories that made me reflect from the treasure trove of a book by Prakash Iyer - 'How Come No One Told Me That' , Life Lessons, Practical Advice, and Timeless Wisom for Success.Prakash doesn't stop at just telling the story. He gets you to reflect on it. And then takes you into the many rabbit holes of thoughts, takeaways and 'ting moments. The stories are myriad - from a boat trip on backwaters of Kerala, to the Ceo's white handkerchief, lessons from airport queues, tying shoelaces, car headlights, brown M&M's and autowallahs. The best explanation of Hanlon razor, Fosbury flops and about the man with the Golden Helmet. And all through this, Prakash is our 'Alteration Tailor' giving life changing lines like 'Why keep the dog and bark yourself?'Every story is an aha moment. Actually 2 aha moments. First, the story itself. Second, the reflections. Storytelling at it's impactful best.Pick it up - get reading - I promise you'll want to talk about it when you're done. Like I am doing now!

Makes for a Good read
It's a very good book, typical Prakash Iyer content, finished it in one go, some very relatable and practical and some..well not that great... It's pretty similar to his previous 3.Would surely wait for the next one.The 10th floor concept, Lion and field mice are the 2 I liked the most.

its not a boring self help book
Normally help or advice books tend to be boring and full of mental models to follow .Remember how your grand parents used to teach values to you: through stories .Prakash Iyer is a great story teller and the way he relates small life incidents with real time life lessons is very interesting and creative . Simple stories but profound lessons. All his books are super interesting and full of learnings

What a book indeed!!!Terrific, Outstanding... Salute you Sir πππThe style in which the book is written was the prime catch that made me pick it and what an incredible justice rendered to it indeed...Bringing down the different forums and experiences of life under one big umbrella, yet chunking them down into chewable ones so that we take the lessons for a lifetime...Thank you Sir!!! Storytelling at its best
If you have ever read any of the Prakash Iyer books you would always feel privileged to write a review for the same. I don't believe that just giving certain stars can actually narrate the influence a good book creates upon you. Iyer's storytelling ability is of a different level. He has always been that person who can hit a six without trying too hard through his writings. This book is no exception to that. Simple reading but in depth learning. Can be an ideal read for anyone who wishes to improve him/her in life personally or professionally. Simple short stories written without any exaggeration. Readers can easily relate to each and every story. I think that is the biggest success as an author and Iyer has been doing that for years now. This book will definitely be considered as one of his best if not THE best. Must read.

Ok to read book with general suggestions.
The book is average read. Low co tent has been stretched by repetition. The suggestions given in the book are general points which are already discussed in many books. Though, the author tried to give a flavor of newness to it by adding stories but the stories are not interesting. Hence, there is a chance that you may not be able to read it for long in one go.
