Tool is OK, took 2 months & a few false "arrives before 8pm" notices for prime shipping. Hefty tip, brass,large tip, although tear drop shape is very useful. Poor tooling, lots of tool marks, had to resurface the foot so plastic wouldn't stick in grooves plus wasn't very flat. Typical Chinese quality.Last time I wrote a not so nice review, vendor refunded my money, then asked me to delete my review. I'm just being honest with what I recieved, although I would buy this again if need to. Its working in my 40 watt iron, I don't have large jobs, just small around the house repairs.

This item was just loose in the box with some other stuff......im glad I did a more thorough look in the box or I would have missed the item and thrown it into the recycle!

I installed this tip on the Hobie - Kc Welder Pro With Rod Stock - 72097001 to repair a scupper on my Hobie Pro Angler kayak. I've had the kayak for over 10 years and the scupper hole into which the wheel assembly is placed had cracked due to fatigue. Using this tip, I was able to weld additional HDPE material into the scupper to cover the crack about 3 inches down into the scupper. I also modified the kayak's wheel assembly to help prevent future fatigue.

I use this tip to weld my Kayaks. There is a process to patching kayaks correctly. This is one of the tools I use to melt plastic rod material into scored and drilled cracks. I couldn't patch without it.
