What a piece of crap. It started giving us trouble in less tha six months & completely stopped working in 8 months.Just stopped. We only used filtered water in it & we are a household of 2 adults doing minimal entertaining. It first started saying that it was out of water while the resevoir was full. We have drained it & cleaned it several times. If I would turn it off & wait 15 seconds and turn it back on again, it would often restart & not say that it needed water.This last failure it just stopped initiating any ice making procedure with no system light indicating anything was amiss. Just stopped. Save your time, money & patience & buy something else. I know I am!

Slow, very little ice, melts immediately. I will be returning this.

This makes bullet shaped ice cubes amazingly fast ... about 9 cubes every 6-10 minutes or so. The holding compartment is not refrigerated so the cubes will eventually melt. The melt water is collected and recycled into the next batch of ice in a continuous process. The process is stopped when the ice bucket reaches a maximum level.This works extremely well, but the ice container is very small and will fill only about a 16oz glass full. While the claim of "26# per day" is probably accurate, you have to be there to empty the tray every time it gets full (and maybe every 30 minutes or so throughout the night!).As such, don't expect to be able to fill your big ice cooler unless you're prepared to catch and store the ice as its being made.When the ice bucket is full, the machine cycles on and off only rarely so the small amount of fan/compressor noise is tolerable.Be patient when you receive it as it must sit unplugged for 24 hours after shipping.************* BUT THEN IT FAILED********************* AFTER ONLY ONE MONTH **************I called their service and they picked up the defective unit by Fed Ex. at no cost to me. It has been over a month now since they received it. They sent me an update saying nothing more than "PLEASE WAIT"I'm tired of waiting. I want a refund NOW**************I finally received a replacement ****************************************************After one month, the replacement unit failed in exactly the same way the first one did: tiny plastic parts on the ends that hold on the ice scoop break off. I disassembled the machine and used my 3D printer to fabricate beefed up end clamps for the scoop. Its been working fine now.I recommend this ice maker if you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have the machine and skills to design and print 3D replacement parts that actually work.

Horrible customer service.My machine stopped working a 4 months after purchase. I’ve reached out 3 times with zero response. I’ve provided everything they asked for: troubleshooting, cleaning, pictures, proof of purchase, pictures, videos, product name/number. No reply. I’ll never buy from Silonn again.Today took about 16 minutes to get a customer service this rep on the phone. The gentleman was very polite and was able to pull up all of my emails. He confirmed that I had set every bit of information required for a replacement. Unfortunately, he told me that the people in charge of returns and fulfillment are overseas and there is “a bit of a language barrier“ but he isn’t sure why they haven’t reached out. I was asked to wait 24 to 48 hours and then check in if they have not responded to me.For reference I have always filtered water, given the machine proper space around it for proper functioning and run the clean cycles regularly.

Great soft ice. Works as described. Hope it lasts a while. I use filtered water and I have cleaned it a couple of times. Using it for about two months.

Broke down after a few weeks. Tried everything.

I’ve bought several ice makers over the years and this is the first one where the ice didn’t fill the basket but just the side so it stacked up causing it to drop making ice leaving just half a glass full. I followed the instructions but this still happened. I returned and will buy another brand.

This would have been a great ice maker and it was for a few months (I purchased this on January) but it is already broken. It has been sitting on my counter, never moved. I woke up yesterday moring and try to make ice coffee as usual but there was no ice in the mchine. The machine was full of water, so I powered it off and restarted it. It sounds like to begin the ice making process again, but never pulled water into the top and just sat there. I tried running a cleaning cycle and nothing. I unplugged it for the over night. In this morning I turn on again and it still not working.It just doesn’t work now. It has always been in a space that gets no use other than for the ice maker. I used another brand before get this, that brand was used for a few years. That machine was no problem to use but the reason I purchased this brand was the size. My old one was little too big for my counter and I moved my house the moment I purchased this machine so I feel like all start with new things. I'd better keep my old one because that was no problem at all for a few years!!

I like the machine, but it has to make bigger ice cubes then it does.

Almost lasted 2 years and just died. Ordered a different model this time. I guess for the price that's all you can expect. All these cheaper ice makers have the same "bucket, acorn ice, flipper" mechanism and electronics so expect it to work but just for a while. Worked great...hard to clean, but it won't make a difference on longevity.
