How to study the Bible is no easy feat according to Watchman Nee, and I agree with his statement. It all begins for me with this book with Watchman Nee flipping script with the Good Samaritan and who he is. Have you ever been a recipient of misinterpreted scripture? I have and Watchman Nee helps people understand very clearly how scripture needs to be carefully studied and interpreted. And an interpretation other than clarified and revealed by the Holy Spirit is incorrect. After reading Nee, I have been on Isaiah 6 and Matthew 13 for over 7 years now and the scripture is massive and more than a single interpretation; it builds and builds.

How to Study the Bible is a classic masterpiece of Christian religious study. Although not as well known as contemporary writers, Watchman Née draws a hard but loving line for thoughtful Christian Bible study. Née does not espouse a particular religious denomination, he advocates the Cross of Jesus and the loving God behind the Cross. How to Study the Bible is for those who feel their Bible study has gone stale, or who need meat not milk to advance in their spiritual life.

If you are looking for a good Bible study get this! This literally prepares 'you' for studying and understandingthe Bible. " The Holy Spirit desires that we enter into His thoughts." (chapter 2, second paragraph) Highly recommended!

I love this book because it made me think not so much about the method in which I study the Bible but rather how I approach the Bible. Another words you must be in Spirit to understand the Bible because God is a Spirit. I have heard so many people say, "I read the Bible but do not understand it." The Word of God tells us a carnal mind cannot understand the things of God because they are spiritually discerned. I totally agree with this book, you must read the Word of God in the Spirit of God to comprehend what God is saying. This is an excellent book. Denise

I have used this book the last two years with my students for Bible College. The students enjoy it. I gave it a four star because it doesn't teach how to use the different modes of study in detail. But it does teach the importance of having a relationship with God in order to understand the word of God. It is a good book to use with other how to study the Bible books.

This is a book anyone that wants to study the bible should have in their library. watchman Nee is an excellent author and a man that knows the Lord. If someone wants to increase their knowledge of the Bible needs this book.
