i fell in love with Adam Conner!
I loved this book so much. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed while reading it. Lucy is honestly such a funny and relatable character. Her love-hate relationship in the beginning with Adam is pure sexual tension and you have a burning desire to always smile whenever they interact with one another.I can honestly say that I resonate with Lucy and how she thinks she’s cursed. She believes that she can’t be loved so she tires her hardest not to fall in love because she’s scared of being hurt and left behind. Her parents abandoning her as a child has affected her a lot, I understood this side of Lucy and found I could connect with that part of her. She definitely grew the most throughout the book. From believing she would never have her own happily ever after to finally accepting that she not only can have it but she also deserves it.Adam Conner is one smooth talking guy, he knows exactly what to say to get you to swoon. At first he hates Lucy just as much as she hates him. But then we see him falling for her. Yess that’s right ladies and gentlemen, THE GUY FALLS FIRST!!! slowly, slowly he begins to break down Lucy’s walls to let him into her heart. He shows her that she can be loved and that she’s the one who’s going to mend her broken heart. Now, if you have already read ‘To Lover Jason Thorn’ then you know that from the first book just how great Olive and Lucy’s friendship is. I absolutely love the back and forth banter between the two of them, this book didn’t disappoint. Another fine mention should be Aiden. Ohh how I love that little human. He’s the sweetest kid who is sooo funny and he just fit so perfectly.Thank you Ella! I really enjoyed this book duet.

Witty romance
I loved the first book in this series about Jason and Olive. This book features Olive's best friend Lucy who has a family curse that stops her from wanting to fall in love. Lucy is very funny and as in the first book, I love her and Olive's friendship and funny dialogue. The story is told from both Lucy and Adam's POV. In Lucy's POV she is talking to the reader. The author writes some witty dialogue and is good at writing from the male POV. Although Adam's son is cute, I felt his vocabulary was a bit advanced for a five year old!As with the first book, the author paces her stories well and the build up and sexual tension between her characters. I loved how Lucy was very unromantic and basically took the mickey out of Adam and his kissing technique and the size of his manhood! All was going well until the author threw in a storyline that confused me and seemed implausible. Then it was just brushed over. I also didn't like the secret Adam told Lucy. It didn't make much sense in this day and age and seemed bizarre but I suppose lots of bizarre things happen in Hollywood?!It was still a funny, romantic read. I enjoy this authors writing style and witty dialogue and well written sex scenes. I look forward to reading more from her.

very cute very entertaining
Incredibly cheesy but relatable with amazing spice scenes (when they finally happen). I love a slow burn and enemies to lovers. I want so many books in this universe. Made me laugh and my eyes got all shiny at least once.

An Entertaining Read
I really enjoyed this story. What's not to love with a handsome movie star, a cute kid and a requisite amount of drama.

Part 2?
I fell in love with Lucy and Adam! But now I need a part 2. I want to see their future (and of course Olive’s and Jason’s). Really did love this book!

not for me
I really tried to get into this but it’s not for me. I got to 80% of the book and that’s with skipping some cringey parts (where the H talks about d*cks and how much she hates A.C.)I just don’t think I fully understand Lucy; I find her too annoying and immature. The plot has potential but I felt like it jumped to a few things. Like her revealing she was pregnant- there was no indication of this prior. I got confused thinking I had accidentally skipped a chapter.
