Amazing slicer!
I don’t like kitchen gadgets but I love this one! I have sliced at least 100 apples/pears this week and it has worked perfect every time. Very easy to use and to clean, which is a plus for me. Blades are sharp. The piece appears to be very well made. I highly recommend this slicer.

Practical and Toddler-Friendly Apple Slicer That Makes Perfect Thin Slices
I bought the PrepWorks Dishwasher Safe Apple Slicer and Corer – 16-Slice Thin Apple Cutter with Safety Cover after our old slicer's handle finally gave out. This one looks almost identical to the last one we had, which lasted a few years, so I figured it was worth a try. With the 13% discount, the price felt more than fair for what you get. The first time I used it, I was happy with how cleanly it cut through a firm Honeycrisp apples. You do have to press down with steady pressure, especially on larger apples, but once it goes through, it makes a satisfying crunch and leaves you with 16 even, thin slices. That’s honestly my favorite part. The thinner pieces are perfect for our toddlers. They’re easier for little hands to hold and safer to chew. I’ve also used it to prep apples for pies, and the uniform slices bake evenly, which saves me time. It feels sturdy in your hand, and the safety cover is a nice touch when it’s in the drawer. Cleanup is simple. I’ve run it through the dishwasher several times and it comes out spotless. If I had one small complaint, it’s that very large apples, like some of the cosmic crisp, won't fit. But overall, it’s a solid, practical tool that does exactly what we need it to do.

I rarely eat whole apples anymore. This slicer is great!!!
Love this apple slicer. I rarely eat whole apples anymore because of this slicer. Easy to use and really enjoy the 16 smaller slices. It gives me more bites per apple especially on the go. The slices are small enough that it is easy to break apart into 48 pieces of the apple slices to put in my warm cereals. Ive bought 3 and gave to friends and family to enjoy. Ive had this slicer for a while now and It's holding up great as I use at least 5x a week. I highly recommend.

Actually separates the apple from the core!
I love this. It really works to cut your apple & detach the pieces from the core. I bought a couple of 16-slice apple slicers elsewhere, but they didn't have the device on the bottom that pushes the apple away from the core, so they still remain attached at their base after you've slice the apple. I do wish the base piece was not attached to the slicer, as I have to dirty a cutting board to start slicing the apple, & then flip over the base to finish. If it were detached & just snapped in place on the bottom of the slicer (like a blade protector) it would not require using another item to partially slice the apple first. You could use the base as a cutting board. Usually I just slice apples for eating & I like the thinner slices. But this also comes in handy if you're making an apple pie, tart or slicing apples for apple bread. Simply peel the apple before starting. This helps to make slicing much quicker & it creates nice, even slices. I even use it for adding apple to my grilled cheese sandwiches. I'll make grilled cheese as I normally do, but add thin slices of apple on top of the cheese before grilling. The apple slices warm while cooking & it's a wonderful flavor combination. Also, the other two slicers I bough are quite a bit wider, by about an inch. Having a wider cutter would be helpful when slicing larger apples, so I'd suggest that the manufacturer enlarge the slicer, as well as detach the base from the slicer. It is a good price & it works well otherwise. I'd recommend this to others since it works so well. This could also work for pears.

An apple slicer that makes life easier
absolutely love this apple slicer—it’s become such a go-to in our kitchen. It’s incredibly easy to use, and even my kids can safely help with it. Just press down and it slices the apple quickly and evenly every time. One of my favorite features is the attached cover. It not only keeps the blades protected for safe storage, but it also doubles as a tool to push the apple slices out once they’re cut, which makes cleanup and removal so much easier. Simple, safe, and really well designed—definitely a kitchen staple for us.

<3 Thinner slices/more pieces than the usual ones.
Love it. I'll eat more apples this way. I like how it makes thinner slices, and how the core part is bigger than the cheapie one I had from the big W. The bottom piece that finishes the cut is great, and it being attached is awesome because otherwise it would be lost the first week. lol I like it so well, I bought some for my adult kids(therefore, the grandkids). :)

You never know you needed this until you use it!! It’s amazing!!
My mother in law brought this camping one time, we came home and ordered one right away. They are so convenient, easy to use and works perfect every time. It’s super sharp, very good quality, you can throw it in the dishwasher but I usually just rinse it off right when I’m done using it. This is one of those things you never knew you needed until you got one. We use it almost everyday!!

Phenomenal Apple Slicer
Tired of eating your apples like an animal in the zoo? Well, you're in luck. This impeccably well built stainless steel apple slicer will have you wondering why you even imagined using anything else. After every (nearly) effortless push, you'll have 16 virtually identical slices of apples, all without any of that nasty core. Seriously, this has proven to be a high end slicer, especially for the price. It's been in the dishwasher more than a dozen times with absolutely no signs of wear. I highly reccomend it!

Apple Slicer
I'm relatively happy with this slicer It has a couple of downsides 1) The slicer takes up more space when slicing the apple as the solid plastic has to be extended 2) it's difficult to clean - I feel the slices are on the narrow side therefore making it difficult to remove any apple that may have got stuck in the blades
