RDP Rooftop Exhaust Vent Cap with Damper and Bottom Extension | Made in USA (10 Inch, Black)

This is so much better than what is available at my big box (Home Depot / Lowe's) stores. I've installed three of these (two 6 inch for the bathrooms, one 8 inch for the kitchen) -- love them.

This roof cap arrived today and it is just what I wanted. Well made, has a large mounting surface, extension that goes through the roof for connecting the ducting to it, a draft damper and bird/rodent screen. Steel is good quality and sturdy. I definitely recommend this item to anyone installing a roof cap for a range hood or bathroom vent.

works well for my outdoor kitchen. Easy to install just make sure your waterproof / seal it to prevent leaks.

Well built. A little difficult (since it’s one piece) installing. Had to really lift up roof shingles to install. Would’ve been much easier if it was a 2 piece unit (flange collar & vent), but got it in.

I spent many hours looking for a proper vent for my new 600cfm kitchen exhaust. The ones they sell in HD/Lowes were not good - other crappy build or restrictive flow. This one hits most of my requirements: - wide sides to overlap better with the shingles - round hole / flange - non-restrictive airflow for 8'' duct (Broan has 3/10 hole, not round 8'' hole) - screen - damper (I just wish they would use rubber like on their picture but mine came without rubber, just a small piece of foam). I had to put a few more foam pieces to it does not flap with the metal noise - brown painted Some things I did not like: - metal is pretty thin but it is not worse than the one I saw in local stores - had to put more foam to prevent noise of the damper (see my pic) - screen is hold by "friction". I am going to use metal screw instead because I do not trust "hold by friction" idea.

Worth the money an easy to install

If you have a 10 inch pipe this is a high quality vent. There are no open slots for this to leak. It stands tall but in my opinion this is worth the money because it’s not going to leak or deteriorate over time. This is expensive but you will understand why when it arrives.

Nice low profile, will not find at your box stores, reasonable price and well made. Use on all of our remodels.
