Warm and comfortable: update - gives me a rash.
I wanted old school wool gloves and these are close to what i remember. Not itchy as not 100% wool but feels good. In weather in new england in the twenties they were fine shoveling or when taking a walk. Price was higher than i like but acceptable.:I had to throw them out. After wearing for an hour or so each day i found my hands red and raw. No amount of washing the glove or lotion on my hands prevented the sore rash.

Best wool gloves I’ve found.
Best wool gloves out there. I have bought several pairs over the years. And bought them for other people. I’m a duck hunter in Michigan and so that means I’m in pretty cold, wet hunting. These gloves were a game changer. Very thick. And wool holds its insulating properties when wet. I like to go a size big so I can wear military surplus wool liner gloves underneath for the extremely cold days.

These will make perfect bow hunting gloves!!
I usually wear size medium in men's gloves. After reading the reviews, some stated that these gloves run a bit big, so I ordered a size small. The fit is a smidge tight, but the fingers length fits like a glove!! Once they are broken in, these gloves should loosen up some the fit should be perfect.I use the cheap $1 knit gloves for bowhunting hunting but the one thing that they don't do well is keep my hands/fingers warm at all. Since I wear the fingerless version for ice fishing and they keep my hands warm even after the gloves get wet from grabbing fish thru the ice. I decided to pay a little more and try the fingered version for hunting this year. The fingerless version has served me well for 5 seasons, enduring stuck hooks and countless wash/dry cycles. If the fingerless version can keep my hands warm in below freezing temps while wet...I can assume that for hunting purposes, these should keep my hands much warmer than the cheap $1 knit gloves and still allow me to use my fingers unlike bulky winter hunting gloves. The image is a comparison of my size medium Sitka Traverse gloves.

Bought these as a gift for my brother. He asked for them by name. He was happy to get them and uses them during the winter, he says they are great and keeps the hands happy.

The right fit
My hands are wide. So to get gloves that fit.. like gloves are prone to do, was wonderful. They keep my hands warm, but not too hot.

Great gloves
Work well when paired with a wind proof shell glove. The wool seems to handle a wider temperature range than fleece when hiking.
