The absolute goat of acrylic paint pens! You can never go wrong with them!

I used this Posca white acrylic pen to outline features of this coloring page by RJ Hampson from his coloring book Pirates. I am an artist and am always looking for fun new supplies. I was trying another brand of white acrylic pen, Tooli Art, and I was not impressed. I decided to go with “old reliable” and try out Posca’s fine tipped pen. I really like the tip that while it is fine point, it’s also a bullet point tip. When using paint pens you often can’t really put pressure down or it leaves a scratch mark in the paint. This applies perfectly. I applied it over black lines on the page, and even colored pencil (Amazon basics colored pencils were used on this). The pencils are highly pigmented so writing over top with the acrylic paint did make the color bleed into the white - that is not the fault of either product but a basic reaction between the two mediums. A couple of coats of the white acrylic pen did solve that. But just one layer of the white posca acrylic pen over the existing black lines worked perfectly, opaque! If you are wanting a trusted fine point white acrylic pen that is reliably opaque, I highly recommend these white Posca acrylic paint pens.

I use these to write on aluminum and steel tools. I apply it on a room temperature, on clean and non greasy surface. But it still seems to wear off sooner than expected. I like the thickness of the line it makes, but I’ve had better success with other pens that I can no longer get. I try to mark text with the pen in places that are not exposed to abrasions. Let it cure. But it still seems vulnerable to abrasions. Wishing that the paint was tougher for my tools. But I’m overall happy with these markers.

My favorite marker brand by far. Love Posca- colors are dark, long lasting ink, very smooth and compatible with all materials, quick drying- I can easily layer within minutes.

AS a professional artist, these are my go-to pens for adding highlights. Thin enough for small details, bright enough to stand out, quickly dries. For basic use, they would last a long time- I go through about one a month. NOTE: if you live at high altitude, make sure to burp the pen (press the solid part of the lid down on the marker tip) to release air. I have had pens explode ink everywhere if they were not burped. (8,000 ft)

Perfect color and gives great precision for small coloring.
