I was surprised by the good quality. There is sufficient space between the storage compartment and the first play area that it all lies nice and flat. The stones are plastic (to keep it light) but nice to the touch. The play triangles are also made of leather, which means the stones don’t slip. I’m very happy with this travel version and it will definitely come on holiday with us.

I was looking for small, backpack and travel-friendly backgammon set with which you can actually be able to play with - this one proved to be just the one. At first I had doubts - mainly if the pieces are going to stay in place and whether you could possibly roll a dice on it. The size of the dices provided with the set is too big, but the small ones I own (bone dices) roll well and stop on the leather quite well (never got to chase them around the floor). The mat stays still on various surfaces; the pieces are plastic - big enough to play comfortably; it is also very lightweight. The only downside I encountered was that the fastening tie got worn out in a particular area very quickly (and eventually ripped a bit as it is made out of two glued leather layers), but I planned to replace it with better one anyway, so - not a big deal at all. Very happy with the product overall.

Bought as a birthday present for my partner. He was thrilled with it. Fantastic quality leather, lies flat when opened. Looking forward to playing when we're on our holiday

It's a good little travel set. Quite a nice size. Only thing is when we rolled it up and used the leather strings to tie it up, they snap straight off. First time we used it, so not particularly sturdy.

This is a great neat little game of backgammon, well made in soft suede leather with a zip compartment for the counters. There were no instructions but these can easily be found on the internet.

I’m very happy with my travel backgammon bought recently , the quality of the leather is high quality and the size is perfect for travelling , so I recommend it highly .

This set is a perfect size for travelling and rolls up to be easily transportable. At first, I used the shiny side to put the playing pieces on, but, then I realised that using the other, suede, surface to put them on made them less liable to slip around. It is giving us a lot of pleasure. The pieces are a nice size and weight, they have a good feel to them.
