The maglight that I installed it in is at least 10 yrs. old. $10 for a bulb or a new flashlight. If your flashlight is 20 yrs. old don't you think it's time to replace it. You have gotten your money's worth out of it!

What I expected

It's brighter/whiter than the competitors' bulbs, and cost twice as much. It's not a practical upgrade, it's for those who want a toy legacy 4D Maglite with a 75 lumen daylight led. Toys are fine, I bought one of these bulbs, obv. For practical use, for a third of the price you can get a much brighter dual-output magnetic mount flashlight from Harbor. True, you can't hit a grizzly in the head with it, but hopefully that won't come up.

Gives my Maglite a new life!

Installation only took a minute. The LED is bright enough for most of the applications. No issues since I installed it two weeks ago. The price is reasonable.

Not much different

So i got this to "upgrade" my 2D and 3C maglites to LED from Halogens because they just dont compete lumens-wise with all these cheap chinese LED flashlights on the market. Boy was I bummed. These LED replacements were stupid easy to install and last WAY longer than the Halogen bulbs will, but they aren't really any brighter. The light they put off is "Whiter" than the yellowish hue the Halogens have, but I dont see the light being any brighter Lumens wise and I dont see the light being projected any further than the Halogens.So in conclusion, i guess its just time to replace the old Maglites with new LED models =(
