Siglent SDS1104X-E Oscilloscope, 4-channel, 100 MHz

This is a great 'scope with all the facilities I require for audio tape machine and amplifier testing. That bit warrants 5*.Be aware though that the fan, at least to my ears, is horrendously noisy, to the extent that I had to return the item ( see online reports).There are silent fans fans available and other ways to bring down the rpm a bit without risking the circuitry.If the manufacturer sorts the fan I will buy again!!

This is a brilliant scope for working with micro electronics. It understands the common buses used on these devices. The similarly priced Hantek has 250 MHz channels, however, this scope is far more user friendly.

Was cheapest on Amazon. Great scope no real niggles. Scope probes are free extras and not good. Separate controls for each channel would be nice not not much of an issue.

Good value for money, but some vertical granularity visible due to digital conversion.

My old Philips 'scope suffered a PSU failure, and I was stiuck for a replacement. I've used digital TFT based scopes before, and wasn't overly impressed because I found them short of contgrols and too full of layers of menus, so I was expecting a big learning curve with this one. So far, I've found everything about where I'd epxect to find it, so the transition hasn't been too traumatic. I haven't explored the limits of its specification yet, but for the money, I think it's excellent.
