In the sizing option it says 8 M US. Does that mean its a mens size?

Am not sure if they are unisex sizes. I indicated I wanted a women's Teva flip flop. The 8 fits me perfectly even though I usually wear an 8 1/2 shoe.

If I wear a 7.5 what size should I order?

I'd go with a 7. I am a 6.5 in all shoes and ordered a 7 in this shoe a while back. At first it fit great but then the shoes sort of lengthen with wear. I now have too much room behind my heel. Next time I order, I'm going with the 6.

So based on conflicting reviews-are these sandals still as great or has the quality gone down hill?

How thick are the soles?

About 3/4 inch w a great arch. They hold your foot from sliding around when you walk, even in the sand.
