Very good yeast
I am a baker who prefers sourdough, but I will use yeast, and even - gasp! I will use use quick leavening agents when needed. But for many years I bought another brand, and like with most things, you do get into a habit of always returning to the same brand. Well, I had occasion to try Bob's Red Mill Active Dry Yeast recently, and I will say that I have extremely happy with it; indeed, I use Bob's products far and wide, so I don't know why I did not already use the yeast. But with that said, I do in fact count myself as a Bob's convert to their yeast product. I store it in the refrigerator, and it lasts just fine until I am ready to use it. But, I do bake a little bit more than maybe others do (who knows?) so it doesn't really just sit for ages. But with that said, it does sit until it is needed, and the value per dollar is fantastic. It lasts quite a long time, even for me. I find the yeast quality superior and highly effective in baking. I am very pleased with this product, and I continue to be very pleased with Bob's Red Mill Products across the board.

The product itself is fine, but the expiration date is only 1.5 months away from when I received the package. Since it is food, I am unable to return it which is very disappointing.
