Will the 14" tom head work for a snare or do I need another snare specific head?

That's what I used mine for. These are some of the best drum heads I have ever played on. I would highly recommend these!

Is the 14 inch for the drum side of snare or the snare side of the snare?

If the head sizes match the sizes of the drums, then these heads will work.

I'm using mine as batters, but I'm sure you could use them as resonants if you wanted to. I'm using the clear Ambassadors for my resonant heads.I suggest you take a look at Remo's website to get a better idea of what these are best for. That's what I did.
