Very happy I bought this. No problems so far. EDIT: Purchased December 2021, serious data corruption beginning February 2024. Painstakingly slow to retrieve and transfer data (mostly photographs).

I bought this FireCuda 2TB Seagate External Drive as: Amazon - Used Good Which defines that it may be damaged up to 1 inch mark on the case. Well, I can tell you that there were no marks, no damage, nothing. What it was: a great FireCuda 2TB Seagate External Drive! Excellent storage, quick file transfer, and cool LED. I highly recommend the FireCuda 2TB Seagate External Drive for your portable storage needs or computer backup. You can't go wrong.

This drive is fantastic as a higher end back up. All my graphic design projects and photography are backed up here. Last one I had lasted 5 years without fail. The lights are neat, but I think I prefer this over the WD Black series. This is a solid HD for whatever your need is. Love the size because I can take it with if I need it.

When I bought my new PC, I wanted an exterior SSD to store my non-essential stuff, so after some research, I chose the FireCuda 5TB drive. I wanted a lot of HD space and I knew I wouldn't use that up any time soon. Also, it's lightning fast...WHEN IT'S NOT SLEEPING. That's the one thing that keeps me from giving this five stars. It goes into sleep mode before too long, and the lag can be anywhere from 10-15 seconds when accessing files on that drive when it needs to "wake up". That may not sound like a long time, but it gets to be an annoyance after the first few times you encounter it. Also, there is no way I can find to disable the sleep function. I've looked into this through Seagate, and found no options for disabling the sleep mode on the drive.

Bought this for my son to use for his portable Steam Deck, as extra storage for his on-line gaming needs. He says after he figured out connection, it works absolutely great!

I purchased this drive from this seller at the end of 2022. All was perfect until randomly a month ago my pc couldn’t register the drive at all. The solution was to format it for a temporary fix, losing all of my years of work. I didn’t think I needed to worry since it had 5 TBs so no I didn’t think to back up my files anywhere else. So I contacted Seagate personally to see if they can recover my files. Apparently when I sent my product to have my files recovered, Seagate sent back a 1TB BACKUP SLIM DRIVE instead of my 5TB drive, this was a total downgrade, not only that, all the files we’re corrupted so I begged them to Atleast have the courtesy to send me back my original drive. This took a lot of back and forth after waiting an entire month, only to receive just the internal part of my original drive that has no way to connect to anything, I will attach the pictures. Seagate made it clear that I wasn’t under warranty because apparently my warranty ended in 2022. I explain this was impossible that my warranty ended before I even bought my hard drive. I also explained that I bought it under the company’s page on Amazon but they explain that even thought it’s their brand, Amazon and other party’s that aren’t directly off their website buys their products and sells them second hand, meaning everyone is probably getting a product that has NO WARRANTY. I LITERALLY LOST ALL OF MY WORK, THE START OF MY CAREER and lost even MORE BY ASKING SEAGTE FOR HELP. If I would have known that I was going to get none of my files and just 1TB BACK. I would have just formatted my original drive that I took so much care for, I would have my 5TB drive still. And the audacity to tell to me talk to Amazon costumer service after sending me a part of my drive was a cherry on top of the entire disaster Seagate has put me through for the past couple of months. So beware, Amazon is selling no warranty items that will break as soon as the warranty is technically supposed to end and Seagate won’t care to compensated you for any of your lost and they will scam and give a product no where near the amount or value for what you paid for. I’m truly heart broken and I never write reviews.

i like the lights, i needed something bc i have laptop w ssd & need a back up for when its eventually guna fail, this is dope for what i need, i set it up to automatically downlaod back ups of specifics folders & also do my own backs ups periodically of entire computer, this 1 tb is enough for me & so far has work great, just automatically saves the folders i need whenever i plug in my lpatop

Fonctionne super bien sur pc ASUS TUF. Fait tourner les jeux pc nikel. Il peut être partionner et crypter sans problème. Vitesse de stockage rapide. La LED fonctionne avec Aura RGB et s associe au couleur des claviers et souris supportant AURA RGB.

It’s easy to configure using the Toolkit software and seems to work well. Have only had it for a few days Only issue is that you need to reformat it if you’re using Time Machine on a Mac
