These are a great enhancement to your 4Runner and really easy to apply. The material is just a basic vacuum formed plastic with adhesive tape on the inside. I feel they're a little bit pricey for the material they are made of and how they feel, but if they were made of anything else that was thicker or heavier, they may not adhere as well. And I cannot say the material is weak, as they have been holding up very well for several months so far with no signs of weakness, cracks or other issues. Just follow the instructions and clean the emblems before and ensure to press and hold for 30-60 seconds when you first apply them so the adhesive sticks properly. It's been about 5 months now in Colorado with some hot and a few extreme cold days, and these are still adhering with no issues yet. But they have not been exposed to the most harsh and extreme climates yet except for a few single digit temps this winter. Eiteh way, I am pleased so far.

The full overlay kit for the 4Runner Limited is currently impossible to find and at a reasonable price if you do. Bought this authentic kit to cover the back and front emblems and lettering for $79 from Southeast Toyota Dealer on Amazon. Bought separately just the limited black overlays for a Tacoma fits the 4Runner the same as it’s universal in that manner and is the exact same even if you found the complete Limited overlay package. However, I elected against using the limited word overlays and kept the chrome. The current Toyota aftermarket limited word overlay in my opinion looks horrible. Reason being they did not cut out the spaces in the lettering (M,E,& D) creating a more solid overlay (see pic). For some this may be okay, but not my style. If you’re looking to blackout the more prominent areas on the 4Runner I suggest getting this kit for sure it looks great and you can’t even tell it’s an aftermarket piece as it fits well! Also, make sure you clean the areas before applying the kit will help the adhesive!

These were easy to put on. Comes with clear instructions for installing. And do go the extra mile and clean the surface with alcohol before you install

They adhere nicely to the original, no signs of them coming lose after a month and through at least one car wash. I feel they were somewhat expensive, but I imagine demand is high for this type of trim modification, so I can’t blame them for that. No noticeable manufacturing issues like plastic flash or markings, looks good!

Easy to install, have a matte black appearance. They come with 3m tape already installed so all you have to do is just peel on the red and stick them over your emblems. I worry these may come off in the car wash but we will see. These are def over priced for just little pieces of plastic, but hey they look nice.

I am so, so happy with this purchase! I bought this emblem kit as a birthday gift, and it's much higher quality than I anticipated. Very sturdy material. Beautifully finished edges. Even better was the incredible customer service I received when my initial order went missing. The replacement arrived in plenty of time to gift!!! This store is amazing, thank you so much =D

Love these!!! Ok so I did what other posters suggested and cleaned the actual emblems with alcohol and then heat up the adhesive on the overlays with a hair dryer prior to sticking them on. I will say that I had a moment of panic (I admit I had just finished my 3rd 12 hr night shift) as I grabbed a letter and tried to fit it on the "U" letter of my car and it didn't fit...well that's because it was the letter "N" haha so just be aware of what you are grabbing to stick on so you don't have a panic moment like me! They look amazing and I like the idea from the other poster that he painted his blue so you can change the color if you wish! Overall I would highly recommend this product! I have the back pictured only because I had the TRD Pro grill put on the front so I didn't need the front emblem overlay, and I didn't need the SR5 because mine is the TRD Off Road. They do not sell the pieces individual but it was still well worth the back end being done!
