Freshware 8-Cavity Oval Silicone Mold for Soap, Cake, Bread, Cupcake, Cheesecake, Cornbread, Muffin, Brownie, and More

I make pretty infamous triple layer creme de menthe brownies. Despite the hours involved during the making/baking/chilling process, the worst part was always trying to divide them up and watching the beautiful top melted andes mint layer crack and shatter no matter how or at what temperature I tried to cut. And don't even think about using plastic or even cheap metal utensils to try and pry these suckers out. I was hesitant to try silicon because I am NOT an edge person- I want soft chewy almost gooey brownies. It was a nervous process and I learned a few things after the first time but I will NEVER GO BACK TO PAN brownies ever again! These are superb! They bake evenly without making everything hard edges. This is one of the few molds that make brownies big enough for my liking. They clean easily- I just soak a little then stick them right in the dishwasher. The brownies pushed out relatively easily as well with minimal corners being left behind. What I learned- still grease them- I either use a little butter or a soft spray. Spoon brownie batter into each (less than half way). Spooning the thick creme de menthe layer didn't work as it doesn't pool out and spreading it with spatula or spoon didn't work either, so next time I will dispense with a strong plastic zip lock with a corner cut off. The melted chocolate top layer was easy. I highly recommend, these are high quality and have saved the day

Great mold! I purchased this mold because I wanted to try my hand at making glycerin soap. I had some breastmilk that was expired in the freezer so I decided to make soap with it! These molds make bars on the smaller size which is perfect since I was making soap for my baby. The molds use about 1 pound of glycerin so if you have one of the standard two pound blocks, you will either have to make two batches or purchase two molds. I have made soap using plastic molds once before and removing the soap can be tricky - not with this mold! I absolutely LOVE silicone molds as their uses are versatile and many. The soap was very easily removed without issue. This mold was also very easy to clean. I plan on using them again for my next batch of soap, but these would also be great for making brownies, or cute individual cakes. Especially when it's Easter - they're egg shaped! Just remember - if you do use these in an oven, place the molds on top of a cookie sheet - do not place in oven by itself! You risk spilling and making a mess inside your oven!! Will definitely be buying other molds from Freshware!

This gives a perfectly sized, smooth soap with no trouble coming out of the mold at all. Much more durable than the plastic molds. I hand washed it with dish soap and warm water when I received it, and have just been rinsing it with warm water, give it a quick shake and let it air dry after removing the soaps. It air dries fast, so there's no need to towel dry and risk leaving any lint behind. No odors from the silicone and no fragrance residue transferring to the next batch of soaps. Always use a cookie sheet under it to move it around easily since it's pretty flimsy on its own. I've been using this for a few months and it looks like new.

I purchased this to make square cupcakes for my sons Minecraft Themed Birthday Party. I was really happy with the final result of the cupcakes, however these were not the easiest to use. Granted this held up great, cooked the batter great, did what I need it to do, but my complaints are that it does only make 8 at a time. And for the price, I wasnt going to buy 2 of these, so I had to just make a lot of batches. The cupcakes did stick a bit and were a little hard to get out, but after a few batches, it got easier once I got the hang of it. You should only fill these up half way, otherwise the batter expands too much and it goes all over the top. The tops of the cupcakes are very round and fluffy, so they all had to be cut off to give the square look needed. This is a quality product and I am sure is amazing for soaps and what ever else people might use this for. It did work for baking and ultimately did give me what I need with a little work. You can see from my photo that my son did enjoy them very much!

Rarely does a product perform as well as, or better than its description, but this one does. This mold came out of the dishwasher as shiny and clean as when it was brand new! All my other silicone molds come out with a white film that I have to scrub off by hand. Also, when they say non-stick, they mean it! I didn't use any grease/oil or flour and everything popped out perfectly. I used a different non-stick muffin pan with the same batter at the same time, and I had to spend 20 minutes carefully prying them out. This mold is absolutely amazing! I will look at this brand first from now on!

I use this silicone mold for my cold-processed hand made soaps. Each mold is at least 3 ounces and makes for a nice, oval shaped bar. The silicone material is very good quality and the soaps pop out easily and with clean edges, even after being in the freezer for a few days. I like average to larger bars and this mold makes a good, average size bar. I'm very happy with it and will be ordering another one.

I've been making cold process tallow soaps for our extended family for years. My old molds were the hard white plastic things that had to be oiled with mineral oil if one wanted the bars to pop out. These are just the right size for a bar of hand soap, and very flexible - no need to oil these, the soap comes out easily and perfectly as soon as it hardens. There is no decoration unless you want to play with colors. Plus these arrived rapidly. I ordered some much more decorative soap molds, some of which took 2 months to arrive.

These molds arrived quickly. I ordered the oval shaped ones. Then I tried my first ever homemade lotion bars in these molds. The molds have more depth than I expected. I filled them to halfway so that my lotion bars can fit in altoid containers. These molds freeze well too. Perfect for freezing soup and broth. Cleaning is easy too. They wash well in a dishwasher. Love that the product is BPA free, PVC free and phthalate free. Passed the pinch test too. I may order other shapes. Love these Freshware molds.

These are great! I have only used it to freeze ice. Ice freezes great, easy to pop out. Water does spill when filled, but that's to be expected considering its silicone. Love how its multi purpose. Great buy!
