After months (years actually) of visiting the iPhone store to complain about my poor battery life, the geniuses there finally told me I had a bad battery. Of course, this was AFTER my AppleCare expired, so they wanted $75 to replace it OR $100 to buy a fancy iPhone charging case. Enter the charging case reviewed here.This little case, at $24, does a really good job of charging your iPhone once it drains during the day. Sometimes, I can even get 1.5 charges out of it! I find that I generally have to start using the backup battery around 1pm, and then again closer to nighttime.Once you're ready to charge your phone, all you do is plug the phone (in the case) into the wall. You have to be careful because the case automatically starts charging first, as indicated by the flashing lights, but I generally turn the case off so that the phone will charge first. Then, once the phone is fully charged, the case will start charging. I have noticed a slight problem where, when I wake up, the phone will only be charged to about 88% because the case is stuck charging itself, but it's usually not too big of a problem.The 3 stars comes in because sometimes the case doesn't hold a charge. I'm not sure if my product is defective, but some days (today for example) I get to work, find my phone has about 30% charge left, turn on the case to start the backup charge, and the case is dead within 20 minutes. It's very frustrating, especially since I know how well the case does its job when everything is working properly. But, all in all, I would say that this case is probably worth a shot. It's a lot better than dishing out all that cash for a fancy case!

I am amazed for what I got at that price. I wish it wasn't as slick as what it is. Could have a little grip to it. But that is just being picky. I always hated my phone being dead by 4pm at work and now I always have full power with out having to carry some other charger thing. Very nice being in the case. I really like this product.

I would say avoid. Had it for a year and 4 months but practically stopped working after less than a year and I kept it as a protection case. You won't be able to charge your phone through the case. A hassle. There are better products out there.

This is an amazing case for something you buy off of amazon! It fits the phone perfectly and has a nice sleek look! The charger works great and If you are looking for a charger case on Amazon I would definelty recommend this!

It is horrible. Does not stay charged for more then 10 mins. It has yet to even charge my phone past 5%.

Nice having the extra battery life! The case is not too heavy and still keeps the slim design of the iphone 5. The kickstand is a little unsteady, but still works.

Got the case but NO charger for it and you can't charge it with your regular iPhone 5 charger!!!
