Great cord quality. Color was exactly as described. The cord was a little longer than expected. I would recommend this cord for anyone looking for cord to last for years. I have been using the same cord outdoors for a few years now. This cord holds knots well and is not terribly stiff.

We got tired of replacing those plastic-coated wire cables every year that we use for our rescue Golden retriever. Our homeowners assn rules prohibit fences, and Harley the rescue dog has fear aggression. He barks and lunges at new dogs/people or anything that moves, so we need to use the tie out. Old cables kink, are heavy, get caught in his feet, plastic cracks, steel rusts, cheap plated j-hooks rust, cut thumbs, either stay open or won't open, etc etc. New paracord cable done in blue and black in a square braid was made from 2 lengths of 100' cord doubled around the durable brass j-hooks. The total length started at 50' and ended with about 35', just the right length we needed. It's sturdy, light, comfortable, brass hooks never rust, festive color to match his collar. The pics were taken during rain so color is darker wet, but the cord isn't affected by water. It'll be more visible in the grass, should last longer than cable (I'll update as years go by). We know colors will fade to gray/baby blue but that's ok. Harley's not a chewer like other escape artist dogs, so we feel safe, plus we typically stay outside with him. So, for $20, we have a great tie out cable, same cost as wire cables, but superior in almost every way. (and I promise never to run over it with the lawn mower....)

Most of the time this 550 paracord is excellent, accurate and consistent color and great to work with. The hanks are well rolled and pulling lengths is usually pretty easy. However, occasionally they send me a hank with fraying well into the 100 foot length, making an unusable continuous length. You have to unravel the hank up to the fraying, cut those parts off and start a new length after the cut off frayed bits. At nearly 14 bucks per hank, the seller can do some better quality inspection before shipping product that is not entirely usable.

Nice quality and color

This was advertised as 4mm and it is only 3mm. I ordered 2 different colours, the other was 4mm not this one. Not happy as I can't use it for my project.

(Pictured on the left) It's not white, it's a yellow brown colour like it's already been in the sun, or a smokers bedroom. Returning.
