I've had the orange variant of this since 2015. Upon purchase, I cut the initial 100' down to smaller lengths and melted the ends. My use case has been as general-purpose that I take camping and backpacking several times a year: hanging food to keep it away from bears, a line to drape tarps across as wind/rain protection, lashing objects together when a different strap or attachment has broken, etc. It has performed very well at everything I've needed it to. Most knots work very well with it, including friction-based adjustable ones like the Midshipman's (Taut Line) Hitch. The color is noticeable enough to readily spot, but without being so vibrant as to be an eyesore. If I were to need additional paracord, I would have no problem with getting it from Paracord Planet.

I picked up the neon pink version for a few DIY projects, and I'm really happy with the quality. The color is bright and easy to spot, which is exactly what I wanted. The cord feels durable, has a nice tight weave, and doesn't fray easily when cut. I've used it for zipper pulls, gear organization, and a couple of simple paracord bracelets, and it's held up great. The full 100 feet gives you plenty to work with, and it seems like genuine 550 paracord. I'd definitely buy more colors for future projects.

Most of the time this 550 paracord is excellent, accurate and consistent color and great to work with. The hanks are well rolled and pulling lengths is usually pretty easy. However, occasionally they send me a hank with fraying well into the 100 foot length, making an unusable continuous length. You have to unravel the hank up to the fraying, cut those parts off and start a new length after the cut off frayed bits. At nearly 14 bucks per hank, the seller can do some better quality inspection before shipping product that is not entirely usable.

I order for my dad who makes survival bracelets out of these and he uses pink for women and girls. He’s been busy this for over a year and has never had any negative issues.

I use this to make cobra braid that I attach to my carry-on luggage for travel. Sometimes, the airliner makes me check in my typically carry-on luggage. When it comes down the baggage claim chute and goes around the carousel, it's far easier to spot a yellow cobra braid among the sea of black luggage. I also attach the cobra braid to my backpack so that if I have to store it in the overhead bin (I usually do because it's a fairly big pack), then it's easier to spot. The hi-viz yellow also makes it harder for someone to get ideas about taking off with my luggage for two reasons. First, you can see it from far away if someone does take off with it. Second, and more importantly, you sticking hi-viz yellow on your luggage signals to would-be thieves that you are already on high-alert and on the lookout for your belongings. So, you're not an easy target, and thieves target people who aren't paying attention to their surroundings. Of course, the added bonus of using this paracord for cobra stitching is one inch of stitching equates to one foot of paracord, in one long section. So, if you need rope in an emergency, you can undo the stitching. The 550 means it can support a load of up to 550 pounds. So, paracord is useful for all sorts of reasons, and I recommend you start implementing it in your daily life.

Tried probably a half a dozen different brands from various suppliers. This is by far my favourite. Others often have too much empty room in the cord making it feel flimsy or the outer layer is too slick or smooth making it hard to bite when making knots.
