CCSP and why I like it
Same format as the CISSP book I read over and over for my certification. I enjoyed that book and I'm enjoying this one as well. Not sure if I'll take the test yet but it's a great knowledge center for today's cloud security needs.

I do feel it prepares one to take the exam and be successful and don't think it as bad as other reviews make it out to be
I used this book and passed the CCSP exam. There are some things I find to be pre-requisites before taking this exam:1. Take the CCSK beforehand (and read the CCSK guide V.3 and the ENISA Risk Assessment)2. Take the CISSP (so you are familiar with the style of questions and are grounded in understanding security, risk and legal concepts - you don't necessarily need to take the CISSP, but I do think it strongly helps to pass)This book, as other reviews have mentioned, is poorly laid out which I don't think is the fault of the author. If you look at the CCSP exam outline issued by ISC, this book explains all the topics based on that. And if you study all these topics well, you should not encounter any surprises on the exam. The book is highly repetitive and there are some mistakes which I noticed. However if you take what is not repetitive from each chapter and diligently study that material, this book is more than sufficient.I also used documents from NIST500-292 Cloud Computing Reference Architecture to deepen my understanding as well as reviewed the Cloud Security Matrix that is on the Cloud Security Alliance's website.Although I was not thrilled with the overall layout of the book, I do feel it prepares one to take the exam and be successful and don't think it as bad as other reviews make it out to be. Hope this helps!

More In-depth information
I studied the CCSP Study guide earlier this year and attempted the exam in April 2019. I then purchased the CCSP CBK and immediately see the information difference.

Book is excellent but exam is very expensive
Book is very good. But I should have done some more research and compared ccsp with ccsk. Since ccsk gives basic knowledge and exam fee is less.I personally feel ccsk should be given first shot and later ccsp.

Book seems well written and not particularly boring.
Book seems well written and not particularly boring. Reading reviews from Amazon and other places, it seems there is confusion between the First Edition and Second Edition. Apparently the first edition lacked a lot of what the test covered. Well, I will update after I take the test! I am scheduled for mid-September.I already have the CCSK, from what I understand, the CCSP is very similar in content (the CCSP was developed with the help of the CSA, which created and maintains the CCSK.)So, I haven't been studying too hard, hopefully I pass! I will write a post-test review when I learn my fate. The book is good, it covers more than the CSA materials (free in PDF form on their site). I think this is really the only book resource that is out there right now for the CCSP.UPDATE: I did pass. The test was a little harder than I expected. From a scale from 1 - 10 I'd give it: around a 6 or a 7.If you have previous IT experience and InfoSec experience, I believe studying the CCSP CBK and the two free PDFs from CSA on the CCSK. It is enough to pass.

The first domain chapter was great. After a couple months of trying to slog ...
I agree with many of the other reviewers about this book. The second domain's chapter is awful. It is as if the author was paid by the syllable and the editor was passed out on the floor during its review. The first domain chapter was great. After a couple months of trying to slog through Domain 2, I finally ended up skipping the remaining bits because it wasn't making sense...the outline is terrible...and it is overall horribly written. I didn't think it was written by the same person as Domain 1's chapter at all as the styles were so insanely different. I am chucking this book aside and about to purchase the Sybex book. I will use this book to prop doors open or perhaps as a wheel chock, which would be more useful.

Helpful but only part of what you need…
Great book but really only about 50% of what you need to pass the exam. I passed second time but I read all of the recommended NIST and CCK documentation. I did not read any of the ISO documents as I refused to pay for them.

Best book to prepare for the CCSP exam.
This author is awesome! His previous book was help me to get ready and successfully take CISSP. The content of his books always highlight the main points that will be asked at the exam. The same is related to this CCSP CBK book. The style, precision / clarity of material is incomparable to other available sources. Thanks Mr. Gordon for the great job!
