This is good product and worked great with what I needed it for.

Bought this to use with a non "Original" Hunter fan (the Dempsey) despite Hunter specifically saying not to as I couldn't find any of the normal Hunter downrods in this length and colour for a price that wasn't crazy. The difference between the two is the Original (this one) is threaded at both ends where the rods for non Original fans is only threaded at the fan end and not at the top. Since this Original rod is threaded at the top it is slightly narrower than its counterpart and doesn't fit tightly in the hanging ball of a non Original Hunter fan like the proper rod would. However I found wrapping the top threads in electrical tape to increase the diameter of the threaded pipe made it fit tightly in the hanging ball. I have no regrets purchasing it but just be aware you'll have to fiddle with it or potentially end up with a wobbly fan if you buy this for a non "Hunter Original" fan.
