Better than a raw plug
When raw plugs won't do, then these are great for studded and boarded walls. Worked for a coat hanger which was heavy.

It does the job
Used to fix some lamps in the bathroom and some paintings on the wall - nothing too heavy. It looked to be of good quality for what I was looking to do.

Poor quality metal.
Metal too soft. The wall anchor often twists shut rather than splay out to form an anchor. The top unit often twists off the barrel. Have wasted a lot of time trying to get them to work.

Did the job at great price
These worked out great for putting up shelves. A fraction of the price the diy shops charge

A high failure percentage.
I bought these for putting up shelves in an airing cupboard. Quite a high percentage of the plasterboard fixings became twisted when tightening to fix them behind the plasterboard (See photograph). The failures have to be pulled out, which can enlarge the hole in the plasterboard and make it too big for another fixing. I would not buy these again but would look for plasterboard fixings of a better quality.

In principle these are a great way to install in plaster boarded homes
it could be me but now and again I have to throw one away as it did not seat well, when they work and you select the appropriate size they are quick, sturdy and easy to use. Sometimes they require a really firm squeeze of the setting tool to engage
