Davis Instruments made an excellent weather station. It has functioned for years in the hot southern Arizona climate. The original solar panel was still working but it had suffered from lots of UV overdose. I contacted the company & they advised that I need not do anything unless it was for aesthetics. So I chose to make it more beautiful. Works fine.

Arrived quickly and fits perfectly. Does the job it was supposed to do.

I replaced the original 12 year old unit because of cracking and fading of the clear window. Even though the original was still functioning, I wanted to replace it before water could possibly seep in to the transmitter. It took all of 2 minutes.

Original one on Davis weather lasted 15 years. This one only lasted 20 months

Quick service, and perfect replacement. Would advise shopping around, which I did only a little. Same replacement part directly from Davis would have been only $20, and a few dollars for shipping. That said, the part is genuine Davis, and the purchase was well worth it.

My Davis weather station is still going strong. My original solar panel was weathered (photo) but still working after 14 years. I decided to be good to it and install a new solar panel for its next 14 years.Thanks Davis for making great weather stations.
